"Ramyun Brothers": 3 Reasons Why You Should Watch Lee SeungGi, Bae InHyuk & Kang HoDong's Latest Variety Show

        TV Chosun / Viu

The Korean entertainment industry is always churning out an endless stream of innovative content - whether K-Dramas, films, music, survival shows, or variety shows. The latest on this roster is "Ramyun Brothers" - a new cooking show starring variety legends Kang HoDong and Lee SeungGi alongside rising star Bae InHyuk as they undertake a mission to popularize K-Ramen in Japan by successfully running a ramyun restaurant in Enoshima.

So, if you've been looking for a refreshing new variety show, here are three reasons why you should watch "Ramyun Brothers"!

        1. The Star-Studded Cast Of "Ramyun Brothers"

This might be an obvious reason but viewers of "Ramyun Brothers" know and vouch for just how wholesome and lovely the dynamic is between the cast members. While Lee SeungGi and Kang HoDong's chemistry is tried and true from working together on "2 Days & 1 Night" and "Strong Heart", Bae InHyuk takes on the new "maknae" position. It doesn't take him long to open up because he is just that adored by his hyungs, and soon, he is seen joking around with them. He also seems to be learning a lot about life from his seniors, as they all wrap up a long day with deep and meaningful conversations.

When met with customers, Lee SeungGi shows a mature and reliable appearance, Kang HoDong is endearing and entertaining as always, and Bae InHyuk is full of naturally overflowing cuteness and charisma - creating the perfect trio of stars.

        2. Not Your Typical Cooking Show

Korean variety shows where celebrities set up shop are not uncommon. However, "Ramyun Brothers" is one of a kind. Firstly, Japanese ramen is world-renowned. So, the challenge of making ramyun that fits the Japanese palette is already hard enough. To add to that, each customer must vote whether the dish they ordered was "tasty" or "could be better". If even a single vote goes to "could be better", that dish must be scrapped from the menu, and a new one must replace it - effective immediately.

This keeps our chefs on their toes as they do their best for every single bowl of ramyun that leaves their station. Noting their nervousness, Bae InHyuk makes sure to show them the clean empty bowls that the customers leave behind to boost their morale.

        3. The Enchanting Encounters Of "Ramyun Brothers"

For our cast, the most nerve-wracking but also the most fulfilling part about running a ramyun restaurant is the customers. Thankfully, "Ramyun Brothers" or "Hyeongjeramyeon" which is what the restaurant is called, is a hit in the neighborhood from the first day of business. From an elderly group to a crew of surfers, young moms with their kids, Korean students (who brought some much-needed relief to InHyuk), and K-Pop fans who took pictures with photocards of their biases, the crowd was bustling with energy.

Some were impressed by Kang HoDong's quirks, some were blown away by Lee SeungGi's cooking skills, while others swooned over Bae InHyuk. Each person left with a smile, bringing satisfaction to the ramyun brothers.

You can watch "Ramyun Brothers" on Mondays at 10 PM KST, only on Discovery and TV Chosun as well as on Viu for Southeast Asia.
