3 Pieces Of Advice DAY6's SungJin Offers To Xdinary Heroes' JooYeon

Aside from being a talented vocalist and member of DAY6, SungJin manages to maintain a successful YouTube channel where he uploads a variety of different content. He has participated in a number of activities like tap dancing, fishing, and even indoor skydiving. Through these YouTube videos, SungJin is either seen alone or with a special guest.

In his most recent upload of "Park SungJJIN Season 2", he is joined by Xdinary Heroes' JooYeon, one of his direct juniors in JYP Entertainment. While SungJin has joked around with the members, he has also offered genuine feedback, helping Xdinary Heroes rise to even higher heights. In between the laughter and playfulness of the episode, they do have a serious conversation where SungJin once again provides sound words of advice.

1. Take Time To Rest Fully

Due to the nature of the music industry and being in a band, the two reveal their consistently busy schedule. From performing on stage to creating new songs to expand their discography, there's no time for rest. From this experience, SungJin advises JooYeon that if he's able to, take a full day of doing nothing in order to reenergize. That way, he will be able to come back to work with a fresh mind and full energy tank.

2. Start With The Organization Of The Song

Being artists, they naturally land on the subject of songwriting, their favorite tracks, and the entire process of making music. SungJin shares his own experiences, stating that it becomes difficult when the main focus of a song is whether or not the public will like it. Instead, he suggests tackling the idea of "how I want to organize this song", then adding what the listeners will like at the end. This makes sound sense, as focusing on another person's opinion can often derail us from reaching our desired results. Listening to SungJin speak you start to feel his veteran status and his sincerity towards music.

3. Focus On The Things You Like

Life is a process where there are many paths to take. SungJin understands this as he states "Whether you do this or that, you don't know how everything will proceed" speaking to the spontaneity of life and the many curveballs that are thrown a person's way. However, rather than focusing on the things that we cannot control, the DAY6 member makes a great point that doing what you like seems like the best thing to do. With that initial interest, you will be able to passionately work towards that something greater. This can apply to any career path at any stage of life.
