Let's get to know our boy crush, MinGyu!

If you're new to MinGyu, here is some basic information about him. MinGyu was born on April 6, 1997, and has been grabbing attention since his younger days. He was street cast to be an idol in middle school. He wasn't sure what to expect and ended up going to the audition without anything prepared. As such, he ended up singing the national anthem and the staff at PLEDIS still loved it. They added him to the team as a visual and he started training to debut. He has mentioned how fascinating fate is because if he had deviated from his course on the day he was cast, maybe he wouldn't have been able to become an idol. We know. The thought of a life not knowing MinGyu sounds awful to us, too.
As an idol, he is the kind of performer/personality who doesn't need to do too much to shine. MinGyu is a powerful performer and even shines on variety shows without having to exert himself to give off perfection. He has a very effortless and naturally captivating aura that will instantly grab your attention. There is even more power in his subtle but dominant force.
When it comes to dancing, his tall height accents his graceful moves and the elegant way that he pulls off choreography. He has amazing control over his power and breaks the stereotype about tall dancers being awkward with his graceful prowess. He is the full package on stage with facial expressions that highlight the narrative of his performance, too.

Vocally, he is just as enchanting. He brings a uniqueness to the song with his husky and raspy vocal tone. His rap style oozes a certain appeal thanks to his killer flow and an incredible vibe. MinGyu is famous for his puppy-like personality despite his rugged charm. His love for his family, members, friends, and fans is especially touching. He loves them out loud and for who they are without trying to change them. He also puts a lot of effort into maintaining connections with those who are important to him.
On top of being extremely intelligent, MinGyu is an optimist who always keeps a realistic outcome in mind. Fans appreciate how he sees the good in life and is thus a positive influence on them. He inspires fans to be the best versions of themselves.
This is part and parcel of his balanced persona. One of the compliments that MinGyu often gets from fans, which is super uncommon to hear said about someone, is that he is a really balanced person. He is confident without being self-important. He is content with himself and knows what he likes and dislikes. He is incredibly self-aware and knows how to reflect, too. Despite his well-deserved fame and success, he also constantly remains humble, and down-to-earth, and lives with a grateful mindset.
He is the kind of motivational force that not only influences his fans but helps to change their perspectives on life. MinGyu can simply remind fans to take a moment to cherish the good weather or a beautiful sky and fans will instantly make that a part of their routine, reminding themselves to take a breather and not take life for granted.
He is an extremely hard worker and always puts his best foot forward no matter what he is doing. He is meticulous, organized, and resourceful. His passion and ambition are admirable qualities that give him a reliable air. That even applies to taking care of his fellow members. He always tries to pre-empt and attend to his members' needs even before they ask for help or realize that they need it. Fans have even dubbed him as husband material because of the way he cooks, cleans, and fixes things, to help those around him live a little more comfortably.

This elegance is why his name often comes up first when talking about 'prince-like visuals in K-Pop'. He definitely looks like he just stepped out of a fairytale.
He has deep eyes with luscious eyelashes and bold features. The healthy glow of his skin makes him the essence of a youthful visual and almost adds an unreal element to his handsomeness. He even has moles that accent his striking looks even more.
