Let's get to know our crush, HyunJin!

HyunJin is famous as a member of the non-stop impactful boy group Stray Kids. With their global impact and undeniable force on every stage, there is no wonder that this group is loved so much by STAYs (their fandom). The same goes for HyunJin, an idol who has a huge impact in the K-Pop sphere, especially among 4th generation idols, he is one of the idols who are destined to be legendary.

If you're new to HyunJin, here is some basic information about him. HyunJin was born on March 20, 2000, and has been popular since a young age. He was a soccer player with dreams of becoming an athlete in his childhood. He has also said that if he wasn't an idol he would've likely become an interior designer. In addition to those dreams, his star potential was recognizable from a young age as he was cast by numerous agencies and started forming another dream. At first, he was hesitant, but as the offers came in he thought that it might be fate for him to enter this industry.

As an artist, HyunJin is the moment. When it comes to stage presence, he is not only irreplaceable on stage as a member of Stray Kids; but also irreplaceable as a force among idols in the K-Pop industry overall.

Let's take a look at his talents in more detail.

Firstly, HyunJin has one of the most unique vocal tones among idols. Skilled in both vocals and rapping, his high tone is hard to miss and an essential part of any Stray Kids song.

His delivery when he raps is crystal clear and packs a memorable punch.

When singing, HyunJin's voice has a warm comforting quality that sounds like a solace where you can escape the struggles of daily life.

While it is common to speak about K-Pop idols' dance lines (and HyunJin's dance lines are beautiful indeed), HyunJin boasts more than just those. HyunJin has a beautiful overall dance silhouette. Not only do his limbs and body proportions help accentuate the choreography, but his dancing skills also create a holistic visual effect and take up space in the best way possible on stage.

HyunJin is a king when it comes to powerful choreography but he also has incredible control over that strength. His power matched with his emotive facial expressions are unmatched.

An interesting fact about his idol talent is that it was sparked by a huge desire to do well. During his trainee days, he often heard that he doesn't have to try that hard because he is handsome. However, this went against everything he believed in. HyunJin wanted to prove himself through his talents and not just rely on his good looks. His desire to do well drove him to work especially hard and learn several types of choreography.

He once said in an interview that he think's it is not cool to brag about something that you didn't work for. He knows that someone saying you are born with a talent is a compliment, but he doesn't take it seriously. HyunJin has often said that he aims to work harder and improve at all times. He has very high expectations for himself and wants to focus on being a better him. This only goes to show how mature his mindset is and how diligent his character is.

However, despite that, we have to take some time to acknowledge his visuals. There is a reason that so many fans fawn over his god-like looks, after all. They are indeed out of this world and ethereal, to say the least.

On top of that, HyunJin is one of the idols who makes fans swoon regardless of the length of his hair. He can pull off any hair color or hairstyle and make it look trendy. When speaking about visuals, one has to acknowledge his duality at the same time.

HyunJin's gaze is one of the fiercest and will pierce your heart, making room for him to live there. In fact, 'fierce' should be HyunJin's middle name. When he is channeling his inner model, HyunJin seems like a statue crafted from only the finest material, thanks to his sharp features. He is so handsome that his visuals make him seem like an unreal piece of art. HyunJin has a cool but elegant look to him that screams 'refined'.

However, in the same breath, HyunJin has a puppy-like charm to him, especially when he is smiling. He looks particularly cute when he squints his eyes as he smiles.

Did someone say 'adorable'? 

This goes hand-in-hand with his personality. HyunJin has the kind of personality where the people around him can't help but feel happy in his presence. He lives passionately and embraces every moment as if it is the most precious time. This even applies to how he laughs. He laughs with his entire chest, in a full way that warms the soul to hear, throwing claps in (or himself to the floor) or even leaning his head all the way back.

This is partly due to his sentimental nature. Despite his cool and sometimes chic image, HyunJin is not only true to his feelings but also expressive about them. He is known to get immersed in experiences and openly share how he feels about them. Whether that is expressing his likes and dislikes clearly, or letting the emotion of a moment out.

For example, he is the type of guy who cries when he listens to sad songs, especially if he is having a hard time. HyunJin is also knowledgeable and emotionally intelligent due to his love for reading books. He gets consoled through his passions, the arts. This also explains his creative ability. Whether it is songwriting, drawing, painting, or choreographing; when it comes to the arts there is little that HyunJin can't do.

HyunJin is a deep thinker with a unique perspective on life and the world.

Additionally, HyunJin is one of the fan service kings among idols. HyunJin takes such good care of STAYs that his relationship with them is often compared to that of a son who takes care of his parents; a filial relationship. The way that he interacts with STAYs shows the utmost care and respect. Many STAYs can attest to gaining inspiration, advice, and comfort from watching his live streams, for one, and interacting with him.

HyunJin will make sure to even do the little meaningful things for fans like sending them a goodnight message or making sure to message them despite having intense busy schedules.

He is an absolutely precious entity not only on the stage but in fans' heart, too.
