MONSTA X is starting their 3rd World Tour 'WE ARE HERE'. They are all ready to perform in front of international MONBEBE with numerous dates!
On Apr. 14 Kpopmap was invited to the press conference held for the start of this new world tour. ShowNu, WonHo, MinHyuk, KiHyun, HyungWon, JooHoney, and I.M are all ready and excited to meet fans. Members started the world tour with two concerts in Korea on Apr. 13 and 14 at the Seoul Olympic Handball Stadium.
For their 2nd world tour, they had already greeted fans with powerful performances with 25 concerts in 20 cities. This time for their third world tour, the boys are going to new countries and cities and will perform in 18 cities.
Compare to the previous world tour, there are new stops (some also were removed such as HongKong) such as Bangkok, Mexico City, Sydney, Melbourne, and Kuala Lumpur. In Europe, they added Paris and Berlin to the list and will be performing in 5 cities. In the U.S., LA concert venue will double the size from last year as they will perform in Staples Center! Between 2nd and 3rd world tour, MONSTA X had been busy with 2 full albums: Take.1 “ARE YOU THERE?” with 'Shoot Out' and Take.2 "WE ARE HERE" with 'Alligator' which were popular in Korean and overseas charts. They have also participated in the famous "Jingle Ball Tour" and had various collaborations with global artists such as Steve Aoki for "Play It Cool".
This time the title of the tour is "WE ARE HERE”, can you introduce the concert?
ShowNu: This time the world tour is more energetic, a concert full of emotions and fun.
You are going for a 18 cities world tour. How do you feel?
ShowNu: Thanks to MONBEBE from all over the world, we've got to go to another world tour. It is new for us every time we go. We don't go that often so we will do our very best. We will see and remember all the numerous MONBEBE.
HyungWon: We cannot meet international MONBEBE that often, so we are meeting them with this world tour for the third time. We are very thankful to be able to continue with a 3rd world tour. We will try our best to finish the tour without getting hurt.
WonHo: I am happy and excited to meet overseas MONBEBE and K-Pop fans. Thank you to the people that make it come to true. We will try our best to show great shows.
I.M: It is the third world tour. Since we are doing in bigger and more cities this time, I am happy that we are going to meet more fans.
MinHyuk: For this world tour, we got to perform at the same venue -Staples Center- we have performed during our early days for the K-CON in Los Angeles. I am thankful that this time we got to fill up all this huge venue by ourself. I am happy and impatient to go meet these numerous MONBEBE. I am happy to go to all the countries and we will show our best performance.
JooHoney: We are performing in cities we could not go last year. We try hard all over the world.
KiHyun: In the fan cafe, I saw the concert posters after entering the concert section. Since then, I am so excited and anticipate for the start of the tour. We will do our best as much as fans have been waiting for.
For this world tour, you have prepared new units and new songs. How did you prepare? What are their charms?
JooHoney: I am doing with I.M. This is the maknae and rapper line for this unit. We have shown a lot of our chemistry on our songs until now. This time we are showing what is rap as the rapper line. We have prepared a lot. The title of the track also means that we are one with MONBEBE.
MinHyuk: For the unit, I am doing with HyungWon and KiHyun. We have our charms. Of course, hyungs have great and sexy bodies but our unit is somehow more fresh and sexy. We tried our best. We chose a song that will be popular during the world tour overseas.
ShowNu: With WonHo, the song and stage we chose could have the fans to cheer and enjoy but for the performance, we have done it emotionally. We wanted to have a message.
I saw some spoilers from the concert yesterday and saw your outfit WonHo for the Unit Stage. I was wondering if you've shared your ideas with the stylists?
WonHo: We usually talk with the stylists. For the unit stage, ShowNu is representing the color black while I am the color white. I've given those ideas to the stylists. The stylist came up with these cool outfits of the black swan and the sawn.
HyungWon, you've been DJing at the concert. Can you talk about it?
HyungWon: Usually, there are not many occasions for me to show my DJ sides. I wanted to show to the fans. And after much thoughts, I have decided to show it during the concert as it is the best place to enjoy and jump with them.
How do you take care of yourself? How do you stay healthy?
KiHyun: As you may know, WonHo built a gym in our dorm. I exercise there everyday. I am trying my best.
Which cities are you looking the most for?
ShowNu: Australia is new and also we are going to Staples Center (LA), I am looking forward to these. Also, last time, the reception of MONBEBE in Europe was great, so I am curious of their reception this time too.
I.M, you will release a solo Mixtape. Can you talk about the concept and the schedule?
I.M: The schedule is not official yet. In this Mixtape, there is my own music color. It is of slow tempo. It is very sexy. I am collaborating with an American artist and the song will be in English. Please wait for it!
