MONSTA X is back more powerful than ever with new mini album "FANTASIA X", title track 'FANTASIA' and B-side track 'FLOW'.

It is their new release after their first album fully in English "All About Luv" released in February 2020 and their last Korean comeback with 7th mini album "Follow: Find You" released in October 2019.

Kpopmap was invited to the online showcase held on May 26 and as usual MONSTA X added one more perfect album to their discography. ShowNu, MinHyuk, KiHyun, HyungWon, JooHoney, and I.M are all set for one more successful comeback.

"FANTASIA X" is composed of 7 songs. JooHoney and I.M worked hard in this new album. They participated in all the lyrics of all the songs. JooHoney in addition composed and arranged 'FLOW' and 'STAND UP'. I.M also worked on the composition and arrangement of 'ZONE'.

In the new MV 'FANTASIA', the group surprises with panthers, topless contemporary dancers, golden palace, etc. If you have yet to watch it, do so below.

Members performed two songs 'FLOW' (the B-side track) and 'FANTASIA' (the title track) with their black leather and golden outfits. Check the gorgeous stage pictures below.

What is 'FANTASIA'?

It is a song that is liberating, not restricted by formality, and also filled with energy.

Can you share some of your thoughts and feelings about the new album?

We have done a lot of meetings and worked hard. We thought a lot about the songs and revised them. We also have practiced a lot. We worked a lot on it.

Can you explain the concept of "FANTASIA X" in one word?

Variety. We tried to show various sides. I am currently wearing an outfit with gold. We also used vivid colors to capture the splendor. We tried to have the meaning of being the radiant time of life.

Can you explain a bit more about the content?

'FANTASIA' is different from our other music video. This time we worked with contemporary dancers wearing masks and there is a lot of gold in the music video. In the beginning, there is JooHoney with panthers and he looks very cool.

Can you explain the songs?

We participated a lot this time too. I worked on 'FLOW' and 'STAND UP' and I.M on 'ZONE'.

JooHoney compared members to swans. They are looking glamorous on the top of the water but underneath they are paddling faster than anyone else. It is a song that compares to celebrities' life.

Let's live life as the flow, let's stop paddling. It is a healing and comfort song. 'STAND UP' is a fan song for MONBEBE. Let's all cheer up and get up strong. It is hard with COVID-19 for fans all over the world, let's stand up together and let's hang in there together. I hope fans love it.

In the states, you have been invited to a lot of famous shows.

We are very honored to have been invited. We could only go because MONBEBE asked for us. We are happy just thinking about it. When the current COVID-19 situation gets better, we would like to go again.

You have been to the "MDL BEAST FEST" in Saudi Arabia.

There were around 100,000-150,000 people so it was new.

We have seen Arab MONBEBE for the first time during our debut times at the KCON 2016 at Abu Dhabi. This time in Saudi Arabia, there were more fans. It was nice.

You have promoted in the states with an all-English album and you've reached the top five on Billboard 200 Chart with "All About Luv".

Korean albums are powerful while the English album had more pop and is more comfortable to listen to. MONSTA X has a lot of sides with various genres.

What is the killing point on stage for this comeback?

Because the song vibes are free and splendid, we gave a western look point to the outfits. We tried to capture both sexiness and carefree vibes at the same time.

ShowNu, when are you going to enlist, and what are your plans?

There is nothing decided yet. Since there is nothing fixed, I will try my best with MONSTA X.

The trailers were released in black and white, can you talk about it?

It is white and black so it has kind of a movie style. It was new to us.

All the members went to search for something in the trailers. The black and white gave more lonely vibes to it.

Can you share more behind stories of the songs?

Actually to add to what I said earlier. 'ZONE' has an exciting EDM beat that many people can enjoy. I want to perform it in concert. When the COVID-19 situation gets better, I would like to see many people enjoying it together.

JooHoney is always bright and helpful when recording with us. He talks with a smile and nicely. He says things like: "Hyung it is good and ...", "Imagine you are somewhere", etc. It is really helpful.

JooHoney wants us to sing and show the song in the way he thought of the song, in the way he wants it to feel. Whereas, I.M wants us to sing the song with our own colors, the way we feel it.

What is the difference between MONSTA X from other idols? What makes you different?

MONSTA X has its own colors, we are powerful. You can know that it is us from our songs and concepts. It is MONSTA X.

How are you going to promote? Because of the COVID-19, you can't see fans.

We will use mobile, social media, online platforms, TV, and etc.

Can you say something to MONBEBE?

Before the comeback, I took a break and came back with a good heart and attitude. I miss MONBEBE a lot. It doesn't show with the eyes how much MONSTA X is working for MONBEBE, but I think MONBEBE knows that we're really working hard. I hope that MONBEBE around the world cheers up. MONSTA X will support you.
