K-Pop fandoms in South Korea often begin to worry when their favorite idol group comes close to the period of when their contract, usually seven  years, is about to come to an end.

Netizens of a popular online community have recently been talking about one fandom that probably won't have to worry about. Of course, while nothing is confirmed, all the evidence at the moment points to one thing, and that is they will continue as one as they are doing so well in the K-Pop scene at the moment.

In the past, many groups have disbanded or reached a point where they couldn't be active as a full group, which is why the term seven year jinx, a notorious myth in the K-Pop scene, has come to exist.

And the group that netizens have talked about is GOT7.

"iGOT7's have nothing to worry about. The members are really like family. Mark once said that even after their dorm lives end,  they talked about living together. JinYoung, Jackson knew each other since their trainee days, but now they have been friends for nearly ten years in total. The boys who used to look like rookies now all look like sunbaes in their seventh year..."

Below are some of the statements made by GOT7 members in the past.

JinYoung: People say seven years is the norm but I feel like times have changed. There are a lot of seniors who are going longer than seven years these days. I never thought once that our team was going to disappear because it's been seven years."

JB: "We all know that without each other, as individuals we might end up becoming nothing as individuals. That's why I believe every member will do their utmost to protect GOT7."

Mark: "Ever since a long time ago, we all talked about staying together. Now that people are asking about our contracts coming to an end, we're more aware of the situation."

JB: "Our contract is almost up. But we are still the same. We're going to continue as seven."

The leader of the group JB even seems to have ensured fans that they have nothing to worry about and to be quite honest, it would be an immense surprise if GOT7 didn't continue on as a seven-member group under a renewed contract with JYP Entertainment. While they may not have been the most popular group earlier on, they are currently killing it in the K-Pop scene while also recently having released their chart smashing comeback 'Not By The Moon'.
