UP10TION is finally back with their 10th mini-album "Novella" and title track '너에게 미쳤었다 (Crazy About You)'. Members GyuJin, SunYoul, HwanHee, Xiao, Bit-to, KoGyeol, and Kuhn took the stage looking dashing with bright energy at their comeback showcase.

Kpopmap had the honor of covering UP10TION's comeback showcase. Here is everything that you need to know about it.
The members shared their thoughts about finally making a comeback after 6 months. Kuhn promised that the group would show their musical development to HONEY10 (their fandom) after the long wait. The members paid more attention to the musical production process for this comeback.

"Novella" is a 6-track mini-album that plays out like a novel. Their album comes in two concepts 'Still' and 'Sequence'. 'Still' represents the current sadness they feel after a break-up (black and white) and 'sequence' represents the emotions of a past love (colorful).

The songs on the album are a compilation of love songs that show a sentimental side and mature sexiness to UP10TION.
The first track on the song is 'Give Love' which combines sentimental lyrics and a dance beat.
The second song is the title track '너에게 미쳤었다 (Crazy About You)'. It is a song about remembering past love following a break-up. The perfect winter listen.
Track three is called 'PANDORA' and is a powerful song that is a lot stronger than their usual songs. The fourth song is '설레(雪來)' (read Seolle) which is a lovely song with a plot-twist-like charm.
The fifth track 'FALL' is about the sadness of breaking up but is also a cool song. The final song 'SAD ENDING' is another sentimental listen.
Members Bit-to, Xiao, and Kuhn each took part in the songwriting and composition processes of this album.

SunYoul sad that despite the album having a 'Sad Ending', he hoped that this comeback would provide a happy ending for HONEY10.
When asked when they think is the best time to listen to their title track, the members shared varied ideas. Kuhn suggests listening to the song after coming home from a hectic day at work and whilst being hit by the water from your shower. He jokingly warned that listening to this song then might make your shower's water pressure explode.
KoGyeol suggested listening to the song whilst walking in the cold winter air at the end of the day. The song matches the chilly weather perfectly.

HwanHee, however, thinks that the best time to listen to the song is whilst staring at a beautiful view, such as the Han River in Seoul, on the commute home (by car or train).

The members also shared if they had anything that they were crazy about like the song suggests. HwanHee shared that recently he was crazy about delivery food and ate quite a lot of it.
Xiao shared that he had a time when he was obsessed with ice cream and gummy candy. It was to the point where he would eat them instead of a meal.

SunYoul shared that he was, is, and is going to be crazy about their new title track.
Finally, GyuJin wholesomely claimed that he is crazy about HwanHee.

When asked how they prepared for the comeback, SunYoul said that their choreographer recommended that they watch a sad film the day before the showcase. SunYoul personally watched clips from "My Mister", a K-Drama starring IU.

Meanwhile, KoGyeol shared that he focused on the instrumental beginning of the song to get into the sad sentiment of it.
Later, GyuJin explained that the point choreography of '너에게 미쳤었다 (Crazy About You)' is the part where they create a clock shape and movement.
Bit-to added that the other point dance move is the shutter dance. This is the part where the members focus on moving their hands like a camera shutter as if they are taking a photo. They flex their fingers by expanding them and rotating them.

To Khun, Bit-to, and Xiao who participated in the songwriting process, which part of your contribution do you hope for fans to focus on?
I usually like writing pretty songs so I hope that people would listen to the beauty in the lyrics of songs like 'FALL'.
Xiao
I usually focus on the overall vibe of the song so I hope that fans will focus on that. I'd also like if they listen to the album in order to fully appreciate the sentiment.
Bit-to
For the title track, I wrote my part like a poem. So I hope that fans can listen to it as a poetic piece.
Kuhn
Between the ‘Still’ version of the concept and the ‘Sequence’ version, which version do you think suits each member the best?
I think HONEY10 will like 'Still' because of its mature sexy vibe.
HwanHee, Xiao, Bit-to, Kuhn
'Sequence' is a little bit happier, so I think it suits me better.
SunYoul, GyuJin, KoGyeol
The members emphasized that they wanted UP10TION to become known by many people as their wish for the New Year. We are looking forward to seeing UP10TION achieve this goal in 2022.
