Let's get to know our crush, Bang Chan!

Bang Chan is famous as a member of the internationally-acclaimed boy group Stray Kids. They are known for their infectious energy, powerful performances, hard-working attitude, and strong bond with their fans. Bang Chan is known as 'the best leader' to quote STAY (their fandom) directly. He is a selfless leader who always puts his members and fans first, earning their respect. Add to that his endless amount of talent and all-rounder prowess, and we can compliment him for hours.

Let's get to know more about Bang Chan as one of our boy crushes today.

If you're new to Bang Chan, here is some basic information about him. Christopher Chan Bang (known as Bang Chan) was born in Seoul, South Korea, and raised in Sydney, Australia. He was born on October 3, 1997.

Bang Chan had a long trainee period despite his overwhelming amount of talent but showed determination and perseverance until the end. You could say that the wait is one of the things that shaped him as a leader.

Bang Chan was given the opportunity by JYP to put together his own team to potentially debut. Thankfully, JYP liked the group that he put together and they were able to debut as Stray Kids in 2018. He faced some hardships along the way but never gave up.

In the end, he gained more than just the opportunity to debut; he gained brothers in the form of his members and a family in the form of his fans. He was able to learn a lesson and get a great reward from it, which is the drive to achieve the success that the group is reaching as one team today.

His performances are captivating as he performs a lot of high-level movements due to his athleticism. He also has clean dance lines that emphasize the killing points of the choreography and bring the stage to life.

Bang Chan is both a vocalist and rapper. Often shining in the chorus of most of their songs, he has a bass-filled voice that is often used to fill other members' parts through a doubling effect, as well. It complements his unique vocal color which has a husky but clear quality. Bang Chan's voice has a rich tone that he accents with his raw portrayal of emotions in any song.

His rap skills are also captivating. He has a superior understanding of the rhythm and can deliver his rap powerfully.

It is no secret that Bang Chan is one of the best producers among active idols at the moment. He has over 100 KOMCA credits and his name can be spotted all over Stray Kids' discography for writing, composing, and arranging. He is considered the powerhouse of Stray Kids.

He has exhibited his selflessness in numerous ways including making sure that security at the airport protects the other members first, helping members to boost their confidence, comforting members during difficult times, and much more. As a leader, he is the kind of leader who wants to help shape each of the members into the best version of themselves. However, what makes Bang Chan special is his ability to push them to be their best selves without taking away from their freedom and individual self-expression. He leads by example and it is evident that he has a strong positive influence on the other members.

As much as he is quite influential in terms of leadership, he is also extremely caring and attentive. He takes care of his members, the staff, and fans, too. This is what makes him more than just an idol to STAY. Being Bang Chan's fan is actually like becoming his friend or family member. He has a special ability to make everyone, especially his fans feel taken care of.

He is known for being a person who is like a warm flask of hot chocolate on a cold day to the people around him. This is why we have dubbed him a 'heartwarming-dol' (heartwarming idol). His existence in itself is like a warm presence to anyone who has the pleasure of getting to know him or about him.

Bang Chan is known for his sweetheart down-to-earth personality.

Kind, helpful, patient, consistent, genuine, and uplifting; are just a few of the words that we could use to describe him.

To reiterate, he is known for his family-like solid bond with his fans. He especially maintains their deep connection through his live videos where he talks about a number of topics, introduces fans to new music, answers fan questions, and more, called "Chan's Room".

In this healing space, he communicates with fans and even acknowledges the content that fans make through the live stream. He has acknowledged the fans who react to Stray Kids' music, fans who create fanart/edits, and more. It must be another level of special when the artist who you admire acknowledges your love for them, too. This simply adds to our earlier point about how kind-hearted and affectionate he is as a person.

One of Bang Chan's best traits is his discipline. When he puts his mind to something, he sees it through 100% of the way. Whether he is trying to execute a project or has made a promise to another member or to fans, he will always put his best foot forward to get it done. This has been a source of inspiration for many STAY and other K-Pop fans, too.

Additionally, we all know that Bang Chan is extremely beautiful on the inside but we have to appreciate his outer beauty as well.

For one, his smile is pure gold. His dimples also add to his adorable aura.

Secondly, to perfectly sum up his visuals, we will use this quote by another STAY, "BangChan's visuals reach peak 5-star Michelin beauty." If the Michelin gradings were applicable to visuals, BangChan would definitely be in the top ranks. His fit physique and chiseled features give him an Adonis-like air.
