The day has come for Fantagio's latest boy group LUN8 to introduce themselves to the world! Yes, LUN8 has officially debuted with their 1st mini-album, "#CONTINUE?" and it is everything we could have asked for and more!
For those who might not know, LUN8 is an 8-member boy group under Fantagio. The members are JunWoo, Ji EunHo, DoHyun, Takuma, Ian, JinSu, EunSeop, and Chael.
Kpopmap had the opportunity of being invited to LUN8's debut media showcase, and there was no way we were missing it. So, keep reading as we share with you our key takeaways from the showcase, a.k.a three reasons to be excited about this up-and-coming new-generation boy group!
1. All 8 LUN8 Members Are Going To Be Your Bias

If you thought picking a bias in LUN8 would be easy, you're going to need to think again. LUN8 presents a buffet of charms, a gala of talents, and a cornucopia of endearing qualities that you just can't get enough of. Besides their official positions, the members showcased diverse sides to themselves during the media showcase.
For instance, JinSu looks innocent and pure but has striking duality. Chael has a chic and intense charm leaving a strong impression, but he definitely gives off "maknae" energy despite being the oldest. Takuma has a sharp gaze but an effortless charisma. JunWoo is the bright and refreshing happy virus of the group. DoHyun is cute and charming like he walked right out of a youth drama. Ian is confident and cool, mesmerizing with his visuals. Ji EunHo is someone you will want to take care of from how adorable he is and finally, we're officially dubbing EunSeop as LUN8's "Smile Fairy" because of his utterly loveable grin that lights up the room. With LUN8's penchant for making you want to root for them, there's no way you won't get attached!
2. You Are Going To Fall In Love With Their Voices
One of the first things you will notice about LUN8's music is how distinct each member's voice is. When asked about the special strengths of LUN8 as a group, member EunSeop revealed that he considered the unique vocal color of each member to be the defining quality of the group, and we couldn't agree more! From the rappers to the vocalists, each member has a very special role, and they fulfill it incomparably, creating an impeccable signature sound. The album "#CONTINUE?" perfectly illustrates this strength.
3. You Will Want To Go To All Their Concerts

During the debut media showcase, LUN8 took the stage for live performances of their dual title tracks - 'Wild Heart' and 'Voyager'. While 'Wild Heart' has a powerful, propelling energy that makes us anticipate an even brighter future for LUN8, 'Voyager' is more laid-back, relaxed, and summery. Takuma even mentioned that listening to 'Voyager' this summer will make it feel like 5 degrees just dropped in the surrounding temperature!
'Voyager' is a lo-fi pop-punk track, whereas 'Wild Heart' is a pop-rock anthem. Both songs perfectly represent the musical range of LUN8 and give them a chance to showcase their myriad skills.

Naturally, all eyes were on LUN8 as they performed live, and trust us when we say it was as professional and masterful as an experienced group! LUN8 are excellent live performers, both when it comes to song and dance. The vocals were as steady as they could get, and each member had a clear identity within the songs. In particular, JinSu's high notes truly impressed us, and it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he is well on his way to becoming a star vocalist.
When it comes to choreography, the members were beautifully in sync and delivered a flawless performance that allowed every member to shine while also showing the stunning teamwork of the group. Most importantly, LUN8 has a knack for making their performances incredibly enjoyable because the members themselves know how to have fun on stage.
We can already tell that the LUN8 concerts are going to be top-tier because clearly they must be eating CDs for every meal to sound this good live!
Fun Facts
1. The LUN8 members think that JinSu is the member who sings 'Voyager' the best.
2. Takuma dreamed of becoming someone who shines on stage after watching BTS perform 'Not Today' in their concert. Similarly, Chael was inspired by EXO Kai's performance at "MAMA".
3. Ji EunHo's role model is NCT's Mark. EunSeop idolizes ASTRO's Yoon SanHa, especially because of how impressive he looks when he sings while playing the acoustic guitar.
4. JinSu shared that ASTRO's JinJin gave them advice on how to last long as a group by saying that the most important thing is having skill.
5. DoHyun shared that he wanted LUN8 to be known as "Fresh Idols".
6. Ian shared that he was nervous about debuting after three years of first appearing in the public eye with "I-LAND", which gave him the feeling of wanting to do better, but the pressure helped him grow, so he is happy.
7. Ji EunHo said that if LUN8 were to win first place with their debut title tracks, he would want to perform 'Wild Heart' with the concept of 'Voyager' and vice versa.
