Stray Kids have steadily become one of 4th generation K-Pop’s top acts for their high quality music and their energy on stage. Each of their songs are embedded with profound meaning presented in a fun and engaging manner.

Such aspects of their music translates to even the small details in their stage outfits. Their attire elicits the best out of an array of colours, patterns, textures and styles for looks that fans will want a second and third look at.

These are some of Stray Kids’ best stage outfits that fans would want to see again.

1. ‘District 9’

Stray Kids’ stage outfits for their debut stage on Mar. 29, 2018 showed off a tough image without being too flashy. They wore khaki jackets, grey and black shirts and ripped jeans. The hints of red with the laces gave the look a pop of colour while reinforcing a sense of strength. The dark and earthy tones made it feel like the members were ready to tenaciously trudge their way through obstacles and difficulties to reach their destination.

2. ‘My Pace’

For the comeback stage of their 2018 hit, ‘My Pace’, Stray Kids wore exhilarating outfits that made the audience feel pumped up to zoom towards their goals. What made the outfits so eye-catching were the sporty, oversized tops that featured a bright assortment of colours, prints and graphics. As a group, the outfits gave the audience the energy to dance and sing along with them.

3. ‘Awkward Silence’

School uniforms are often worn by idols but when worn for the right performance, it can never go wrong. To fit the upbeat sound of ‘Awkward Silence’ and its message of avoiding unnecessary conflict, Stray Kids wore school uniform inspired outfits. The stage outfits for ‘Get Cool’ on Nov. 15, 2018 were casual outfits that can be worn by anyone when hanging out with friends or simply wanting to have fun to relieve stress. Layering was a key point in all of the members’ attires. Layering various vibrant colours and patterns took everyday outfits to the next level by making it dressy yet fun as best seen in Felix and I.N’s outfits. ‘God’s Menu’ is widely popular for being one of the group’s most conceptually creative songs. Such creativity materialised in the styling of their Jun. 27, 2020 “Music Core” performance. Their outfits perfectly emulated a chef’s attire of a double-breasted jacket and bistro apron. The design of the attire is what gave it its wow factor. A mix of black, regal gold and striking red adorned with oriental vector patterns created a strong and confident impression.

Military style jackets are also another one of the K-Pop industry’s most popular clothing items. There is good reason for its popularity because it never fails to bring out idols’ masculinity. Stray Kids wore such jackets on “Music Core” for ‘Back Door’ on Sep. 19, 2020. They also wore various accessories including rings, earrings and necklaces. Korean cultural motifs are crucial to making ‘Thunderous’ such an intriguing song. The song uses traditional Korean instruments and the Korean title of the song, ‘sorikkun (소리꾼)’, is a term referring to a singer of Korean traditional music forms. To bring to life the essence of the song, the stage outfits on Aug. 28, 2021 were based on traditional Korean clothing. The combination of black, gold, white and sophisticated patterns made for a glorious and cohesive look. By incorporating elements of traditional culture in a modern performance, Stray Kids produced a show that fans couldn’t take their eyes off.

8. ‘DOMINO’

For their bold and domineering song, ‘DOMINO’, the stage outfits were multi-coloured. It made use of all kinds of patterns and accessories to bring out the individuality of each member. While I.N sported a school uniform inspired outfit, HyunJin pulled off an elegant red blazer adorned with pearls and Bang Chan wore a relaxed yellow set with a net white tank top. Although each member has a different style, it becomes a coordinated look as a group.

9. ‘MANIAC’

While dark colours are normally used to deliver a strong image, Stray Kids proved that white, a colour usually representing purity, can also be a powerful colour. Their performance of ‘MANIAC’ on “Inkigayo” on Apr. 10, 2022 featured an all white look with black accents in the belts, gloves, boots, ChangBin’s leather harness and I.N’s upper arm leather band. This was definitely one of Stray Kids’ best stage outfits because of its clean but manly design.

10. ‘CASE 143’

Stray Kids did such a great job of simultaneously pulling off cuteness and intensity in their Oct. 13, 2022 “M COUNTDOWN” performance of ‘CASE 143’. Hearts were undoubtedly the main theme on this day. Hearts were printed on the pants and jackets and I.N’s shirt even had a frilled heart detailed in the centre. While the outfits focused on cool clothing items such as denim jackets, bomber jackets and leather pants, they also incorporated quirky pink heart-shaped handcuffs and dandy tops of pink and blue. Cute accessories such as pink rings were also worn to elevate the aesthetics.
