P1Harmony is starting their 2nd world tour "P1ustage H: P1ONEER". They are all ready to perform in front of P1ece with even more dates than their previous tour!

On January 19 Kpopmap was invited to the online pre-party press conference held for the start of this new world tour. InTak, Theo, JiUng, Soul, KeeHo, and JongSeob are all ready and excited to meet fans once again. The group started the world tour with two concerts in Korea on January 15 and 15 at the Seoul BlueSquare Mastercard Hall.

For their 1st world tour, they had prepared powerful performances and enjoyed a fun time with many P1eces. This time for their 2nd world tour, the boys are going to new cities and will perform in a total of 12 cities. Compared to the previous world tour, there are new stops such as Dallas, Nashville, and Oakland. You can check venues, dates, and ticket information here.

Between the 1st and 2nd world tours, P1Harmony have released 2 albums: "HARMONY: ZERO IN" with 'Doom Du Doom' and  "HARMONY: SET IN" with 'Back Down' which they are excited to perform on the tour for the first time. During the interview, P1Harmony shared with us many interesting facts about the tour and what they look forward to the most too. The group debuted during the pandemic and isolation time, how do you think the effect of having events and touring affected the output of your music and projects? What was the transition back to 'in person' like?

The reason we chose to be idols is that we want to and like to perform in front of an audience. Since we've been performing in front of an audience, after COVID-19, there has been a great improvement in what we make, now that we have an audience, we improved a lot.
JongSeob
Because we are performing in front of people, when it comes to music, the selection of music, the format when we're creating the albums, we always try to make some songs that are like "Oh, that would be super fun to perform on stage!". So a lot of times when we make our albums, we always try to add a song or two that we know for a fact that it's gonna be fun. So I think music-wise and performance-wise, it has a big impact on our group.

You have a big international fanbase and now that things are opening up again, do you have any top destination or country you'd like to perform in and why?

I'd really like to go to New Zealand. I really love nature and New Zealand's nature is really beautiful so I want to visit there and meet with New Zealand's P1eces too, performing, that'd be great.

I really had a good impression of Australia, I went there to study before and the energy in Sydney was really cool, so if we had a chance, I'd like to go to Australia one more time and be able to perform there for a concert or world tour.

France. I have always been a big fan of France, I really want to go there for the architecture and the way the city looks. I always wanted to go to France.
Soul
I want to go to Brazil. I never experienced or learned a lot about the culture in Brazil so I really want to visit there. And I also feel like fans would really sing our songs, be energetic, and show us a lot of love, so I really want to go to Brazil.

I looked at the comments under our videos and SNS, and there are a lot of Spanish comments. I want to go to Spain or Latin American countries.

For me definitely Canada, I'm from Canada so if we can go to Canada like Vancouver or anything is fine, really.

What are some elements that you bring on this tour that you did not have last year for the US tour?

The biggest thing is the remixes of original songs

Definitely there are songs that a lot of fans are used to, already know, but this tour, we tried to switch things up and made those songs a little different. Even some songs have different choreos and things like that. So definitely, it will be the same songs but with different vibes. I think this is the biggest thing we want to appeal to our fans for this second tour.

Is there anything that you didn't do on your last tour that you wanna try this time?

Last tour we haven't been able to go to Nashville, but this tour, we're going to Nashville and I've been wanting to try Nashville hot chicken.

I feel like this tour we're going to a lot of cities we haven't been to before like Dallas or Oakland, and we're pretty adventurous people so we're excited to see the atmosphere and energy that comes from those different places. And what our fans are like in those different cities as well.

Kpopmap asked: Was there any hard time or struggle you faced while preparing for the tour?

Preparation, there could have been more time to prepare.

But no matter how much or how little time we have, we always want to practice more and more, just practice more and more. But definitely, we feel like preparation time duration-wise was a little short. It was hard to remember all the songs and choreos in a short amount of time, that was a little difficult. And actually, Theo is very involved in the process of the tour like the setlist, the sounds, the lighting, and even the special effects. Literally everything, he was very very involved, so it was hard for him. Especially the setlist, this is only our second tour and we only released two albums since our last tour so it was hard to think about how can we switch things up with only two more albums out. So setlist-wise, how can we show them a new experience without having too many of the same songs performed again that was kind of the thoughts we had while preparing for the tour.

You will be performing twelve shows, are there any other cities you are excited to visit other than Nashville or maybe re-visit this time around? Considering maybe the cities' vibes or the fans you met on the last tour, just anything in terms of being adventurous as you said before.

For me Oakland.

Before we came to America, I saw many fans saying they got their ticket for Oakland, so I'm very very excited, so I'm excited to see everyone there. And we've never been to Oakland before too, so I'm very excited.

I'm looking forward to Chicago. On the last tour, the Chicago fans were very energetic, they like did the dance with us! So I'm really looking forward to Chicago.

I'm also looking forward to Chicago, Chicago is great, I love Chicago. Yeah, we love Chicago, considering it's a big city, it's also just calm, and everyone is heartwarming and energetic when they need to be, so it's nice.

Definitely, on the last tour, our last stop was San Jose and when it's the last date of the tour because the fans also know that it's the last stop, they try to give their all at the end of the show, so definitely for this show as well, on the last stop, we're looking forward to the last stop the most.

The title for your upcoming tour includes the word pioneer (P1ONEER) is it something new you would like to introduce to the K-Pop industry?

So pretty much starting from our last tour, I think the song 'Follow me' resonated a lot with that, especially on tour and live, and performing it in front of our fans was something very fun and I feel like the whole thing like follow me let's go, just follow wherever we go, just follow along, that just inspired the title P1ONEER, from the word pioneer. It just means that wherever we go, wherever we want to go, wherever we want to see and experience, we hope that our fans follow along with us, and that's why we made the title of the tour like that because we're going to a lot of different places as well. And even similar places as well, but no matter what we do, no matter where we go, and no matter what we experience, we hope that our fans are here with us. And that is the big meaning of why we chose that title for our tour.

Because your music videos kind of follows a storyline and kind of have superhero characters and stuff,  in this continuous story,  is there anything about your music video that you plan to incorporate into the live show? Like the theme of the video or some other details of the music video, you wanna bring to the stage.

Not much... We're sorry! I mean... Yeah, there is not much... There's not really a reason for why, I think it's just different because visually we want to show new stuff so obviously, we're gonna be wearing all different clothes, and even the songs are gonna be switched up a little, changes up a little so I think it's different from our music videos. So definitely, I don't think we can say that there's anything that we took from the music video that will be shown on stage, but sorry if you were looking forward to that.

What is coming up for this coming tour and what are you guys most excited for fans to see this time around?

That might be obvious, but because we released two more albums, we're very excited to share with you guys more songs and more new choreos that we can show you guys on stage, that's one really big thing, and because this past year covid got better over the past year,  we've been through a lot of festivals and had more experiences performing in front of an audience, so we're excited to show you guys how much we've improved, that's it.

I think last tour, we learned how to make people enjoy together and like dance or sing so I think we can make this tour, even more, funnier, make people enjoy more and focus on that moment.

With the tour coming up, what is something you'd like to say to all those who are fans and supporters of the wonderful music you guys make?

I want our fans to come to the show ready to relieve all their stress and go crazy, so to anyone who likes our music, just come to the show and have fun. Don't stress, release stress, and leave the concert feeling happy. And make good memories, always.

Comfort zones are important to all of us but sometimes, as musicians, you have to step out of your own,  so what has been a positive outcome for you guys from stepping out of your comfort zones?

Precisely for me, I've been a part of a lot of survival shows, shows that involve competition, and definitely, that fact that you have to be out of your comfort zone to constantly be evaluated all the time in these shows, is, of course, something I have been taking a big risk for, I just had to sit down and be like, let's do it, let's just try, and the fact that I was out of my comfort zone helped me to try my best and improve and in the first show I was on, I got the first place so once I did step out of my comfort zone, it was a good conclusion so I don't have any regret about that experience.

Personally, when I create and write music, I would really like to work alone, that is my comfortable space and time,  but I wanted to step out of my comfort zone while creating 'Follow Me', KeeHo, JiUng, and our main producer we sat together and create the music together and it took a lot for me to step out of my comfort zone to create that song with them. But now I don't regret anything and I feel happy to be part of that because I feel like 'Follow Me' has been a song that a lot of our fans can enjoy at concerts and just have fun and sing and dance along to. I'm very happy it happened the way it did.

Anything that wasn't asked yet and that you feel the fans should know ahead of seeing this tour?

Last tour we were just really having fun on stage, it was just 6 guys going crazy, just us having a lot of fun. And this time, I feel like having fun is very important as well, but for the 6 of us, we spent a lot of time trying to have but looking cool while having fun. So we hope our fans can feel that and experience that as well. It's just 6 dogs jumping around, it's not that. It's very organized and thought out, hopefully, our fans can see and understand that as well. I really wanted to express that because I did a lot of monitoring and I watched a lot of videos from our last tour and I felt like it's better if it was more organized. So we practiced a lot and gave a lot of effort into it so we hope our fans look out for that as well.

Some of your songs have fan chants, do you wanna teach any fan chants you want to make sure the fans will know?

So we have 3 songs on this tour that we really want our fans to be interactive with it is 'Scared', 'Follow Me', and 'Do It Like This'. One 'Scared' there is this chanting part that we can do with our fans, for example, if we're "When I say L you say A, L.A.", in scared there are a lot of interacting moments,  where everyone can come and sing along, so it would be nice if you guys sing along on tour. For 'Follow Me', there is a part where we make everyone sit and then everyone jump at the same time, if everyone could do that and just scream and go crazy it would be nice, there's nothing really organized, you just have to go crazy. And last, for 'Do It Like This',  we have a little segment where we dance and we expect everyone to dance with us, it's like we dance, then you guys dance, then we dance then you guys dance, etc... A little tikitaka moment so if you guys can look out for that it would be nice as well.
