Last summer, the group VAV released a Latin-based single called, “Give me more” and had a blazing summer with their fans all over the world. In three months, in the peak of Autumn, the group came back with a new album and title song called, “Poison”.
If “Give me more” was a summer album filled with passion of fire and vivid colors, the song “Poison” is a pop-ballad song filled with bitterness, which depicts a story of a brokenhearted soul.
“It is our first time showing this side of the group to the fans and listeners and I’m sure they’re going to love it!” Leader, St. Van said.
The album consists of five tracks including, “Runway”, “Sweet Heart”, “119”(equivalent to the emergency call ‘911’), which is a collaborated piece with PENTAGON ’s Hui and the title, “Poison(+Instrumental)”.
After their rather unique photo-time as each of the members held a panel that represents who they are, VAV has disclosed “Poison” for the first time.
What stood out from their performance was the well-polished performance, filling it with layers of dynamic expressions that come from their airtight choreography and their sleek fashion model-like silhouette depicting the pain of a person who just had his hearts broken.
The choreography for “Poison” was organized by none other than the world-famous dance crew, “Just Jerk” This group was the first-ever Korean dance crew to win the global dance competition “BODY ROCK” back in 2016.
After VAV’s “Poison” and a brief interview, the group also performed another piece, “119”.
“This song could’ve been our title song. That’s how much we enjoyed this song and we dragged for a long time to decide which one of the two to choose.” Ayno commented.
I was well convinced of how “119” could’ve easily been their title song as it had all the elements to become one. The song was more energetic than “Poison” but was more gentle, performance-wise.
VAV’s 5th mini-album, “Poison” is being released on Oct. 21st, 2019 6 pm(KST) and set to go on a European tour in November so VAMPZ, make sure to check their new release before the concert!
