Get The Full Hallyu Star Experience Through "'22 New Beginnings With K-Pop: Star Iz Born"

The Korea Creative Content Agency (KOCCA), Pison Contents, The Director, Asimula, and Bigo Live have joined forces to creat a new K-Pop audition program welcoming Hallyu fans all over the word. "'22 New Beginnings With K-Pop: Star Iz Born" is a VR concert audition program where 5 lucky finalist will get the chance to come to Seoul, South Korea, and collaborate with the top K-Pop artists of today. The list of K-Pop artists who will be collaborating with the said finalists include AleXa, DKZ, MCND, KAACHI and W24.

Everyone is welcome to participate in the audition program; people of all ethnicity, all ages, and gender may apply to join the audition program. If you are interested to join, here are the steps to apply for "'22 New Beginnings With K-Pop: Star Iz Born":

1. Fill in the application form.

2. Film a 5 minute max. video showing off your skills - through a K-Pop dance or singing cover - and upload it on your social media account

3. Film a self introduction video (1 minute 30 seconds maximum) that includes the following: full name, nationality, what country you are from, what and why you like a specific K-Pop artist, what you want to do in Korea.

4. Tag @starizborn_kpop and use the hashtags: #starizbornkpop #starizbornaudition #musicspray #nbwk2022

Applications that do not follow the requirements will be automatically disqualified. On another point, ALL applicants will be provided with 2 free tickets to the final VR concert, where they will be able to watch the finalists and the guest artists’ performance at the comfort of their own home.

The 5 participants chosen to move on to the final round will win a round trip and accommodation to South Korea (following all measures to control COVID-19). They will participare in the final VR concert and each one will collaborate with one of the amazing artists mentioned earlier.

The world of K-Pop content creation is very unique and complex. Thousands of channels focus on their niche and before you start, you should decide what yours is! Content creation is not linear and you have many options for your pick. Are you more talkative and people consider you the comedian in your friend group? A reaction channel might be a good fit for you. Do you love all things fashion, have a closet full of endless clothes, and have a makeup collection that would make anyone jealous? Your name is written on a channel focusing on recreating K-Pop idols' makeup looks and outfits. Whatever you decide to choose, it's important that you choose something perfect for you and you research what it's all about. There are other content creators you can gain inspiration from or see how they rose to popularity in the K-Pop community. Once you figure out your forte, you're already one step closer to being an amazing content creator! Your niche could even allow you opportunities to meet K-Pop groups, dance with them, or receive products from different brands and companies.

2. Pick Your Channels And Plan Your Posts

With the rise of social media, there isn't just one channel that you could choose to create. TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and more, the options are endless for your content creation dreams. If you are not a fan of long-form content and videos, you could choose Instagram or Twitter for your posts. If you enjoy the thrill of editing and talking to a camera, TikTok or YouTube could be a better fit. Once you have your channels figured out, planning what you want to post and when to post will help keep you organized. If you're more spontaneous, you could have things recorded and just save them in your draft whenever you're ready to post them.

3. Don't Be Shy, Post What You Make!

NewJeans may be 'Super Shy' but that doesn't mean you have to be! It can be scary to start content creation. Many eyes will be on you and you may expect some videos to perform a certain way and then get the opposite effect, Regardless, be proud of what you post and make it a habit to create the best content that you can.
