With the first week of December, the holiday season is in full swing, which means people are out and about preparing for the joyous occasion. It calls for trips to the mall, making plans with loved ones, and filling homes with the holiday spirit.

        Along with all the glee and cheer comes colder weather, making it a tiny bit difficult to get out of bed in the morning. On the upside, this could be the perfect opportunity to snuggle up under the sheets and marathon your favorite K-Drama. There are many series that incorporate the holiday season into the story, making it perfect for this time of the year.

        So here's a list of some K-Dramas to binge watch as you prepare for the holidays.

         

        1. "While You Were Sleeping"

        Warm up your holidays with this gem. "While You Were Sleeping" premiered in 2017 and features Suzy, Lee JongSuk, Ko SungHee, and Jung HaeIn. It follows Nam HongJoo (Suzy) who is able to see future misfortunes in her dreams and Prosecutor JaeChan (Lee JongSuk) who tries to prevent them at any cost.

        The drama opens with the two main leads meeting in a flurry of snow, making the perfect set up for the holiday season. More than the winter weather, "While You Were Sleeping" is light-hearted with a compelling plot, making it an easy binge from start to finish. The characters are quirky and loveable, with charms that draw you in over the course of the series. You definitely won't fall asleep while watching this drama.

         

        2. "Goblin"

        Who can forget this legendary series which took the entire world by storm. The explosively popular K-Drama stars Kim GoEun and Gong Yoo as its main leads, along with Lee DongWook, Yoo InNa, and BTOB's SungJae. "Goblin" is the unbelievably touching story between Kim Shin (Gong Yoo) and Ji EunTak (Kim GoEun) who are tied by fate as the lonely goblin and his lovely bride.

        With its premiere being on December 2, 2016, "Goblin" is automatically linked to the holiday season. Gong Yoo and Kim GoEun's electrifying chemistry is more than enough to provide you with warmth in the coldest of weather. Their progression as an onscreen couple sends a swarm of butterflies coursing through your entire body.         This JTBC K-Drama features rom-com queen Park MinYoung and the handsome Seo KangJoon. "When The Weather Is Fine" is a healing romance drama set in the countryside during winter. It follows Mok HaeWon who returns to her hometown, BukHyeonRi. There, she runs into high school classmate and bookstore owner, Im EunSeob. During their time together, they find comfort and solace.

        Park MinYoung is widely known for her amusing, yet lovely characters. But through this drama, she takes on a more serious role, giving a wonderful performance while tugging on our heartstrings and breaking previously set expectations. HaeWon's healing process and EunSeob's overflowing warmth will make anyone forget the cold, winter weather. Get ready for some cozy vibes once this drama starts rolling!

         

        4. "Weightlifting Fairy Kim BokJoo"

        Although it's been over five years since the release of "Weightlifting Fairy Kim BokJoo", many still revisit this incredible K-Drama. The central couple of this unforgettable series is Lee SungKyoung as weightlifter Kim BokJoo and Nam JooHyuk as talented swimmer Jung JoonHyung.

        These two meet as student athletes at a sports university. They face various obstacles and participate in competitions, all while falling in love. It's a heartwarming story that will provide you with heaps of butterflies and laughter. Through this drama, older fans will love the opportunity to reminisce about their passionate and unforgettable youth. The only downside is wishing for a relationship like BokJoo and JoonHyung. Other than that, this drama is a must watch!

         

        5. "A Piece Of Your Mind"

        Cozy vibes? Check. A blanket of snow? Double check. A piece of romance? The largest of checks. "A Piece Of Your Mind" has all these qualities and more waiting for you this holiday season. The tvN drama features Jung HaeIn and Chae SooBin as its main leads. It follows the love story between A.I. programmer Ha Won (Jung HaeIn) and sound engineer Han SeoWoo (Chae SooBin).

        Despite being slow paced, "A Piece Of Your Mind" is filled with enough warmth to keep you nice and toasty all throughout the month of December. It's similar to a steady, graceful waltz that has the power to pull you the more you watch. By the end, you'll find yourself swaying along to its wonderful rhythm, with a comfortable peace growing in your heart.

         

        6. "Crash Landing On You"

        "Crash Landing On You" was catapulted into widespread popularity since its premiere in 2019. Not only did it have a captivating storyline, but the chemistry between Hyun Bin and Son YeJin as Ri JungHyeok and Yoon SeRi felt unbelievably real and genuine. They had K-Drama fans everywhere rooting for their happy ending.

        Throughout the course of the drama, you could see both characters' affection towards each other gradually grow. It didn't take long for their feelings to fully blossom and realize that the holidays are better spent together. "Crash Landing On You" gave us hope that love is able to overcome any obstacle. And if we're lucky like Son YeJin, we might one day marry our very own Captain Ri. Wouldn't that be the best Christmas gift?
