The day we've been waiting for with bated breath is finally here. WEi has officially made their comeback with the latest and final addition to the famed "IDENTITY" series with "IDENTITY: Action" and the album justifies its name every bit. This is WEi's third mini-album following the previous "IDENTITY: Challenge" and it dropped officially on June 9, 2021 on all music streaming platforms worldwide. The title track for this album is called 'Bye Bye Bye' and the rest of the album contains 4 more songs, spanning across 16 minutes and 42 seconds.
Concept
"IDENTITY: Action" is the final installment of the "IDENTITY" series and is the perfect conclusion to the same, with a renewed sense of energy and brightness. Three distinct moods were represented through the concept photos, as pictured below.

WEi can be seen sporting a silky satin orange mood in the first set of concept photos. There's a distinct summery feel to this concept photo which is further reflected in both the title song 'Bye Bye Bye' as well as the rest of the album. The peachy tones give off a tropical sense of recreation and enjoyment.

The second concept photo gives off a more elegant vibe with a royal blue couch set against a dark background. All the members are wearing white, which makes them stand out even more. Their stance in these images seems as though WEi is ready for action.

Finally, the third set of concept photos has a similar relaxed feel to it, despite the fact that a spotlight seems to be shining on WEi. Throughout the 3 concept photos, a similar feeling is reflected, that of composed coolness.
Fashion & Appearance

Through the individual concept photos of each member, we get a closer look into their unique fashion for this comeback. Even though every individual member has a completely different look, they still come together with coherence. Yoo YongHa stands out because of his long hair and red smoked-out eye makeup and so does Kang SeokHwa, owing to his beautiful sunset orange hair and glitter makeup. Jang DaeHyeon has a lovely blue shade of hair and his overall look leans more towards a casual hip-hop vibe. The rest of the members keep it rather simple yet intense.
Dance
The music video for 'Bye Bye Bye' is an energetic summer bop that is enough to get you dancing on your feet. The choreography is classic WEi, with equal focus on the talent and charms of each member. The overarching theme is that of a tropical island getaway party. The killing point of the choreography is definitely the footwork just as the iconic "Bye Bye Bye" comes on, helmed by Kim DongHan and the handgun motions the final time around. It is both sassy and sensual at the same time. The members are all perfectly in sync through several formations, bringing the piece together.

"IDENTITY: Action" is made up of 5 songs, namely, 'Bye Bye Bye', 'White Light', 'Waitin'', 'Ocean' and 'RUi'. The entire mini-album has something for everyone as the group experiments with diverse styles and genres, all with some artfully written lyrics and melodies. The final song, 'RUi' in particular, is evidently one dedicated to fans and it is even more special as it marks the completion of the album as well as this musical chapter of WEi.
