6 Impressive Performances From The Admissions Assessment Of "Fantasy Boys"

        Fantasy Boys Official

MBC's "Fantasy Boys" made its eagerly anticipated premiere on March 30th. Although it is just the beginning, fans are already loving the survival competition program. Many have taken to social media to post encouraging messages for the idol hopefuls and their initial thoughts on this batch of contestants.

A number of trainees have already garnered an intense amount of support. This stems from pre-released teasers and their performances from the admissions assessment. There are many that have natural talent and impressed the mentors the moment they appeared in front of them. While you should watch the performances in their entirety, there are a few that absolutely stood out.

Check out those impressive performances down below!

Note: this is not a ranking.

        1. Kang MinSeo

Kang MinSeo starts off with a unique and mesmerizing sword dance that raises expectations for both mentors and trainees. When MinSeo gets into his song and dance performance, he makes an impressive statement with his vocal stability and infectious energy.

        2. Oh HyeonTae

Oh HyeonTae might be young and still in the midst of growing, but he already has an aura that can fill the entire stage all on his own. Not only does he have impressive vocals, but his dance moves are filled with swagger and confidence. You just cannot ignore the immense talent of Oh HyeonTae.

        3. Hikaru

Hikaru gives a stunning performance of EXO's 'The Eve' starting from 5:20. He has all the makings of an idol from vocals to stage presence, impressing his fellow contestants and the panel of mentors before him. He certainly has the potential to steal the hearts of fans everywhere.

        4. Yoo JunWon

"Fantasy Boys" is not JunWon's first audition program and while this might provide some added pressure, he doesn't let it affect his performance. He delivers an impressive showing of GSoul's 'Hate Everything'. It's not flashy by any means but keeps your attention locked from start to finish. We cannot wait to hear more of his soulful vocals throughout the competition.

        5. Shiryu

Shiryu showed his skills as a talented dancer, presenting an outpouring of emotions in every movement. You can watch his performance starting from 13:02. The mentors were so blown away that they even joked about him being considered for the position of dance teacher instead. While his singing still needs improvement, the mentors recognized his star potential and that he is well equipped to improve in the future.

        6. Hong SungMin

Hong SungMin gave a captivating performance of SHINee TaeMin's 'Criminal' and completely tore up the stage. He has charisma, stage presence, and talent. He received great praise from (G)I-DLE's SoYeon saying that if SungMin came into a group she were to produce, she would be incredibly thankful and considers him capable of taking the center position. Many eyes are on SungMin after that incredible performance!
