In their three years as a group, Starship Entertainment boy group CRAVITY have gone from length to length and grown as incredible K-Pop artists. From producing high quality music each comeback to travelling the world or letting loose in their own variety series, the boy group are doing it all. The members’ paths to becoming CRAVITY are as different as the strengths and charms they all contribute to the group.

With many more opportunities to see CRAVITY thrive and do what they do best, here is a look at their journey over the last three years.

        Holding their first in-person events

Debuting in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, CRAVITY were sadly unable to engage in all sorts of events with their fans right with them. It was hard for them because they had prepared for their debut with the expectation of performing in front of their fans, hearing their cheers and seeing their faces.

A little more than a year and a half after their debut, they finally got to hold their first in-person fan meeting. Their 2nd official fan meeting, “CRAVITY Collection: C-Delivery”, was held over two days from Nov. 20 to Nov. 21, 2021 to LUVITY in Seoul. LUVITY were so excited for the chance to see them perform live but the members were even more glad and overwhelmed as they had been waiting for that moment since their predebut days.

In April 2022, CRAVITY then had their first in-person concert in Seoul over two days with “CRAVITY The 1st Concert [Center of Gravity]”. That later extended to fancons in Japan, Taiwan and Thailand.

Later that year, they also performed multiple times for “KCON”. They were part of the line-up at “KCON LA 2022” before also visiting several cities around the U.S. for “KCON 2022 U.S. Tour” with other groups.

They made an appearance again this year at “KCON LA 2023”.

The release of "Liberty: In Our Cosmos"

The members, especially Allen, have described the release of “Liberty: In Our Cosmos” in 2022 as a breakthrough moment for the group. The album was the second part of their 1st full-length album, “The Awakening: Written In The Stars”. “Liberty: In Our Cosmos” represented them finding the style of music that best suited them, thus their identity as a group. The group aims to produce fresh, energetic, feel-good music to spread positive messages to their listeners, inspiring them to live optimistically.

The success in finding their style is reflected in the increase in album sales since the release of “Liberty: In Our Cosmos”. It, along with the three albums that were released after it, are their four most highest selling albums. Seven weeks after the release of “Liberty: In Our Cosmos”, it reached approximately 114,300 sales whereas their latest album, “SUN SEEKER”, reached approximately 273,700 sales within the same period.

Going on their first world tour

Probably the most exciting and anticipated schedule they have had to date, CRAVITY had their first world tour titled “MASTERPIECE” this year. They visited multiple cities across South America, the U.S. and Asia. At each stop they made, they consistently impressed fans with their top-notch performances and infectious energy. Their performances left fans wanting to see them again in the near future.

        Their Japanese debut

On Jul. 5, 2023, CRAVITY made their Japanese debut with the release of their digital single, “Groovy -Japanese ver.-”. This came just four months after the release of the original Korean version.

        Awards and music show wins

CRAVITY have won many awards and taken out first place on music shows as a reflection of their diligence and talent.

The group has won several Korean music awards and other awards. Some of these include the 2020 New Artist of the Year (Male) award at the Melon Music Awards, the 2020 Best of Next award at MAMA, the 2020 New Star Award - Male Artist at the Asia Model Awards and the 2022 Emotive Award at the Asia Artist Awards. They were also nominated for many other awards on top of this list of wins.

They have also taken out first place on music shows throughout different comebacks. Their first ever win was for ‘Flame’ in 2020. It was an emotional moment for the group to achieve their first music show win in their debut year.

More music show wins followed during ‘Party Rock’ and ‘Groovy’ eras.

        Seven seasons of “CRAVITY PARK”

Currently spanning seven seasons, “CRAVITY PARK” has been LUVITY’s go-to place to see CRAVITY’s off-stage selves and let loose with them even just for a while. The group’s own variety series has been a regular Monday fix for LUVITY, making the start of their week better with the myriad of hilarious and entertaining episodes that are released. The multi-faceted sides of the members are explored in each episode. The games, experiences and challenges they undertake always bring out their charms; their comedic sides, intelligence, wits, athleticism and chemistry as a group.

Endless and spectacular list of covers

On top of their extensive discography, CRAVITY also have many covers to suit anyone’s preferences in not just singing but also dancing. All the members have covered songs by K-Pop and western artists, either on their own or with another member. Below are just some of their most popular covers demonstrating their talent.
