SF9 is back with their 7th mini album "RPM" standing for “Revolutions Per Minute”. It has been 4 months since their last comeback. The boys are back even more powerful with new songs in this whole new mini album released on June 17.

FNC Entertainment invited Kpopmap on June 17 to the press showcase where we were able to have the perfect insight on their new performance, how they prepared this new album and more about how the members have been doing.
YoungBin, InSeong, JaeYoon, DaWon, RoWoon, Yoo TaeYang, HwiYoung, Chani, and ZuHo prepared a lot for this album with songs of diverse genres.
The album is composed of 6 songs, the title track 'RPM', 'Round And Round', 'Dreamer', 'Liar', 'See U Tomorrow' and 'Echo'.
Members YoungBin, ZuHo, TaeYang, HwiYoung, and Chani participated in the composition of lyrics of various songs. The song 'Echo' will especially catch the attention of FANTASY because ZuHo participated in all the stages of the songs by composing the lyrics and songs, as well as the arrangements.
The title track was composed with Tha Aristocrats and ICONICSOUNDS who worked with Chris Brown, Justin Bieber, and Jennifer Lopez.

The group has been significantly increasing its popularity and many are looking forward to the group with this new comeback.
After the activities of 6th mini album “NARCISSUS” and title track 'Enough', the members have been busy with Japanese promotions and their successful World Tour. With 2019 SF9 USA·Europe Live Tour “UNLIMITED”, the boys have met many overseas FANTASY.
Recently, it was announced that RoWoon will be continuing his acting activities. This time, he got the main role in the drama “Haru Found By Chance” based on a popular webtoon. Another noticeable fact for this comeback is that HwiYoung cut his long hair into a long yet shorter hairstyle. HwiYoung's long hair is well loved by FANTASY. This time too he proved that he looks good in any hairstyle.

SF9 performed their new intense and powerful title track 'RPM' after a blowing introductory trio stage by Chani, TaeYang, and YoungBin. This song has the meaning of running until the end for the one they love and makes the heart beat faster. They are many points in the choreography such as the "RPM" hand moves and "Engine Dance".
'Round And Round' performance was also impressive with synchronized performance on a cuter vibe. Don't forget to check this B-track.

Can you explain the meaning of this song 'RPM'?
YoungBin: We paid great attention to the performance. The lyrics have the meaning to search for love from 'Zero' to 'Max'. We compare our heart to the engine. Like the engine, hearts beat faster and will fill out to the Max.

Can you remember something special that happened during the tour?
JaeYoon: In Paris, a hotel clerk asked me “Are you SF9?”. The person told me that her/his daughter is a fan of SF9. It was an honor for someone to recognize us in Paris.
YoungBin: InSeong was here to help during the tour to translate. Even though there was a translator, he played his part as a MC. Thanks to him, we could communicate even more with fans.
InSeong: I studied before going because I wanted to try to communicate directly with fans. I improved my English during the tour. Thank you.
InSeong, how do you improve your English skills?
InSeong: I watch "Friends" to improve my English and watch the overseas interview in English of our sunbaes.
Who do you think will be the second member in SF9 to have good English skills like you?
InSeong: Chani seems to be the second one to have good skills in English.

How did you prepare for this album?
TaeYang: We wanted to make a comeback after the tour. We even prepared on the plane during the tour. We tried very hard.
ZuHo: We prepared a lot and hope to comeback faster. We prepared a lot to be perfect.
In this album, many members participated in the composition, can you talk about it?
YoungBin: Actually, my favorite track is the one of ZuHo named 'Echo', it is for FANTASY. It is very good.
ZuHo: I have been hurt and I took this occasion to compose this song and show love for FANTASY. In this album, other members also participated.
Chani: The title track was composed with HwiYoung, I am happy.
HwiYoung: TaeYang, YoungBin, and Chani have also participated in the album.

Not long ago FNC released the notice that auditions will be held this summer for male idols. Can you advise them on how to pass their audition?
RoWoon: I don't have a real tip. Show your real side and your potential.
RoWoon, you are the main actor in the upcoming drama “Haru Found By Chance”, how do you feel?
RoWoon: I have met the director around 5 times, including audition and meeting. At first, I was anxious because it is my first time being the main actor. I am currently filming. It is nice to work with the director and fellow actors. I am doing my best, please wait for it.
Do you have any wish for this comeback?
YoungBin: We would like to be first on a music show. If so, we will give the heart props made of soap of the MV to FANTASY.
ZuHo: I want to be in the charts. Even though it was not discussed in advance, I will perform in the costumes that fans want.

Do you have any expectations or worries about this comeback?
DaWon: We will have a better comeback with ZuHo. I am happy to be together. I'm not worried because I'm with you.
What is the visual point with this comeback?
ZuHo: I wanted to comeback with a brighter and cute image so I dyed my hair in blonde.
This comeback, JaeYoon is the member with the most revealing clothes. Did you prepare something?
JaeYoon: It seems that during the preparation of the album, I have been paying even more attention. I have been doing more sports. I am satisfied with the result.

The members prepared a lot for this album -even not sleeping in the plane but preparing the album- to give their best songs to FANTASY. They are back more powerful than ever and show their beautiful voices, powerful raps, and charismatic synchronized dances.
