3 Times Lee WonJung Gave Us Butterflies As Baek HeeSeob On "My Perfect Stranger"

        KBS

As we head into summer, the temperature's not the only thing that's heating up. Many of the currently ongoing K-Dramas have provided more than enough fiery passion and jaw-dropping storylines to keep viewers at the edge of their seat. Whether it's romance, action, or a thrilling mystery, there are many elements at play that make these dramas a worthwhile watch.

One ongoing drama that has been capturing the eye of many is "My Perfect Stranger". The KBS drama employs Kim DongWook and Jin KiJoo as its main leads. We see the two travel back in time, for different reasons, but eventually find that their objectives are oddly connected.

The drama is filled to the brim with unexpected twists and turns that keep audiences glued to the screen. But in between the heart-racing mystery, there are moments of romantic reprieve. One of the culprits of these butterflies is Lee WonJung who plays the loyal and loveable teenage version of Baek HeeSeob. There have been numerous occasions throughout the drama where he has captured viewers hearts and made them swoon to no end.

Here are some butterfly-inducing moments of Lee WonJung in "My Perfect Stranger".

        1. Heart-Fluttering Acoustic Performance

When we first meet the teenager Baek HeeSeob, he comes off as free-spirited and clumsy. There's a sliver of charisma, but it feels as if you would have to dig real deep to find it. And while he strummed his air guitar in passing, we never saw him with an actual instrument.

However, during the class field trip, Baek HeeSeob finally received the chance to play an actual guitar. He completely shed his previously klutzy image and was reborn into an acoustic professional. What makes it most impressive is that in the making video for this scene, Lee WonJung actually sings and plays live. It was in this moment that our hearts began racing for Lee WonJung as Baek HeeSeob.

        2. Makes A Heartfelt Confession

"My Perfect Stranger" is absolutely heavy on the nail-biting mystery. It keeps you on your toes at every turn, naturally raising your heartrate to new levels. But a K-Drama wouldn't be a K-Drama without the swoon-worthy romance.

Ever since the first time he saw her, HeeSeob has been smitten by Lee SoonAe (Seo JiHye). Although Baek YoonYoung (Jin KiJoo) tried her best to keep them apart, HeeSeob's love and persistence powered through. In this scene, he finally receives the chance to confess his feelings to SoonAe. His confession is heartfelt and genuine, helping SoonAe to realize his sincerity. He loved how cool she looked, absorbed into her own little world. Witnessing his admiration, you won't be able to control the smile that appears naturally across your face.

        3. First Kiss With Lee SoonAe

Baek HeeSeob and Lee SoonAe's relationship naturally progressed forward. But due to some circumstances, they faced a few detours along the way. All of the worries that they might not get together washed away in this moment.

After having a deep, heart to heart talk, HeeSeob finally took the initiative and had his first kiss with SoonAe. The embarrassment that followed afterwards was felt on a global scale, but not without a mixture of triumph and heartwarming goodness. If you didn't have butterflies yet, the feelings of romance should be alive after this.

While mainly focused on the mystery aspect, Lee WonJung helps to bring the romance as Baek HeeSeob in "My Perfect Stranger".
