Lee Jun starts off distant from Jeong HaRam (Cho HanGyeol), but we soon learn of his abundance of warmth. Although strangers at first, Lee Jun helps to spruce up HaRam's outfit on the day of his interview, tying his shoes and placing a nametag back on his shirt. From HaRam's perspective, he sees an angel in disguise come down to help. And we would definitely have to agree with that sentiment!

2. The First To Initiate A Hug

We learn the reason why Lee Jun has such high walls and refuses to let HaRam in at first. It's an understandable defense mechanism to avoid any more unneeded emotional burden and pain. So to see him initiate a hug is cathartic and simply heartwarming. It's a sign that Lee Jun is finally ready to move on and be emotionally secure with another person.

3. Date In The Park

It's something on everyone's romantic bucket list: a romantic picnic date at the park. Now that they've established their fondness towards one another, the possibilities are endless for Lee Jun and Jeong HaRam. Here, we see them enjoying a lovely date in the park filled with head pats and indirect kisses. As you watch, a smile will naturally form on your face that will last for days.

4. Birthday Surprise

Birthdays are special days that anyone would be overjoyed to celebrate. Being the caring person that he is, Lee Jun decides to do something unexpected for HaRam's birthday, providing the perfect midnight surprise. Seeing Lee Jun so lovey-dovey makes you feel absolutely elated and somewhat in disbelief. His transition from being closed off to a big ball of romantic fluff is electrifying and the perfect pick-me-up for any hard day.

"Love Mate" is more than a story of two people coming together and sharing a dream-like romance. It also depicts the overcoming of trauma and removing all sorts of toxicity in our lives. We see peak character development as Lee Jun comes face to face with his ex and doesn't give in to his demands. Instead, he pours water over him and essentially ends this painful chapter of his life. You will certainly feel your heart flutter while watching the now charismatic Lee Jun.
