Reasons To Watch: With the premise of the film, "The Beauty Inside" has a star-studded cast playing one singular person. It's interesting to see how these actors interpret the character in both similar and different ways. It touches upon the true meaning of love, urging audiences to focus on a person's personality and inside qualities, rather than their physical appearance. Reasons To Watch: "Love Forecast" is an absolutely hilarious film that will have you gripping at your side from all the laughter. The two main characters possess a love and hate relationship with one another that may make you question whether or not they will truly get together. But in between the sarcastic remarks and witty comments, Kang JunSoo and Kim HyunWoo's love story develops into one that will move your heart, most especially on Valentine's Day.

Summary: It follows the relationship of Hwang WooYeon and Hwan SeungHee that spans over the course of 10 years. Partway through, they lose contact with one another until one day, WooYeon receives a wedding invitation from his first love, SeungHee.

Reasons To Watch: While a high school romance might be hard to come by in reality, "On Your Wedding Day" bridges that gap, creating a fiery warmth within your chest. However, it's not all rainbows and butterflies, as it tackles the act of moving on and letting someone go. It's very real in that it shows a happy ending is not always guaranteed and that true love will do what's necessary to ensure the other person is truly happy.

Reasons To Watch: "Love 911" is an iconic classic that has effectively swept the hearts of millions worldwide. The chemistry between Han HyoJoo and Go Soo is electrifying, causing viewers to remain glued to their screen from beginning to end. It tells the story of students of the country about to pass the CSAT who have been conscripted to fight an unidentified object for extra points.

PD Sung YongIl ("Class of Lies") and writer Lee NamKyu ("The Light In Your Eyes") was in charge of the production of the webdrama. Shin HyunSoo, Hwang SeIn, Ahn DoKyu, Kim SuGyeom, Kwon EunBin, and more are part of the cast. It is a TVING original.

2. "Moving" / Release Date: August 9, 2023

The supernatural webtoon "Moving" (in Korean "무빙") by Kang Full was adapted into a drama. A supernatural story about high school students and their parents who keep secrets that others don't know.

The director Mo WanIl ("Misty" and "The World of the Married") was in charge of the production of the drama. Zo InSung, Han HyoJoo and Cha TaeHyun are part of the cast in this Disney+ drama.

The thriller webtoon "Hunting Dogs" (in Korean "사냥개들") by JungChan was adapted into the drama "Bloodhounds." It tells the story of three men who got entangled with each other due to debt and their attempt to get out of it.

It is a Netflix Original drama with 8 episodes. Director Kim JuHwan (movies "Midnight Runners", "The Divine Fury") was in charge of the adaptation. Woo DoHwan, Lee SangYi, Park SungWoong, and Jung DaEun are part of the cast.

The BL webtoon "A Shoulder to Cry On" (in Korean "소년을위로해줘") by DongMul was adapted into a drama. Here is the summary: Due to TaeHyun's joke, DaYeol gets falsely accused of scandalously attacking him. Among the archers, DaYeol's athletic path is in danger. DaYeol asks TaeHyun to explain the truth; however, he discovers that he is getting swayed by him.

The webtoon "Deluxe Taxi" (in Korean "모범택시") (official English title "Red Cage") by Carlos and KeuKeu JaeJin was adapted into the drama "Taxi Driver" in 2021. SBS released a season 2 of the drama. It tells the story of a special taxi company Rainbow Transportation and their deluxe taxi driver Kim DoGi's complete acts of revenge on behalf of unfair victims.

27. "D.P. 2" /  Release Date: July 28, 2023

The webtoon "D.P Dog Day" (In Korean "D.P 개의 날") by Kim BoTong was adapted into the Netflix Drama "D.P." on Netflix in 2021, and its season 2 was released this year. It is a story about JoonHo and HyoYeol, two members of the D.P. Arrest Team in charge of capturing army deserters, and the stories they learn about the deserters along the way.

Summary: "Doona!" is a light-hearted yet meaningful romance K-Drama based on the webtoon of the same name about two young people who cross paths and change each other's lives forever. What follows is, in the main character's own words, an "exciting", "heart-aching" and "heart-throbbing" story. Suzy plays Lee DooNa, an idol superstar and main vocalist of the fictional girl group SWEET DREAM, who abruptly decides to retire and moves into the same student housing as Lee Joon (Yang SeJong), a freshman at Minsong University. They are neither friends nor lovers, but the tangle of emotions between them deepens until they can't ignore it any longer.

Reasons To Watch: Fans have been waiting for Yang SeJong and Bae Suzy's acting comebacks for quite a while now. To think that both of these amazing actors will be returning in the same project is already exciting enough to tune in. If you need more reasons, consider that Suzy will be returning to her idol roots with this K-Drama as her character, the eponymous DooNa, is a former idol. Moreover, Yang SeJong is ready to play a smitten young man who draws DooNa (and us) in with his effortless charm. With a staggering 1 billion KRW ransom hanging in the balance, will these three friends be able to make it out unscathed?

Reasons To Watch: Wavve has a reputation for producing high-quality thriller K-Dramas that are a cut above the rest. "The Perfect Deal" is set to prove this fact further. Yoo SeungHo's small-screen comeback, joined by rising stars Kim DongHwi and Yoo SuBin as well as beloved actress Lee JooYoung, is going to be a dark, twisted, suspenseful masterpiece, and if the webtoon of the same name is anything to go by, we have a rollercoaster ride waiting for us.

Summary: Set in the Joseon Dynasty, "The Matchmakers" will tell the story of an unfortunate young widower Sim JeongWoo (RoWoon), and a feisty business-minded widow Jeong SoonDeok (Cho YiHyun), who get involved with each other and take it upon themselves to help other single people in the nation get married.

Reasons To Watch: RoWoon and Cho YiHyun in a historical drama together? This pairing could not have been dreamier. From the visual combination to the height difference, the lively plot, and the colorful setting, everything about "The Matchmakers" makes us eager for it to arrive on our screens. Besides, it's always a welcome trope when the matchmakers fall in love themselves! Needless to say, we're already rooting for this couple.

 

4. "Moon In The Day"

Cast: Kim YoungDae, Pyo YeJin, On JooWan

Summary: "The Moon That Rises In The Day" is a timeless love story spanning a thousand years, based on the webtoon of the same name. It begins with Hwarang warrior DoHa (Kim YoungDae) and his fateful encounter with Han RiTa (Pyo YeJin), a prisoner of war. They marry, but guilt drives RiTa to murder DoHa, trapping his soul in time. RiTa, on the other hand, reincarnates through numerous lifetimes. In her 19th life as Kang YoungHwa, she can see DoHa's spirit in mirrors. When DoHa's spirit enters her boss, top star Han JunOh, revenge takes center stage.

Reasons To Watch: "Moon In The Day" is the perfect mix of romance, comedy, fantasy and tragedy. One might even say that it is the best of both worlds (pun intended). If you like tropes such as past life connection, fish out of water, and forced proximity, "Moon In The Day" will be right up your alley. It will certainly be interesting to see centuries of hate turn into love as our main characters navigate their feelings for each other, but even more fun will be watching them bicker and come to terms with their bizarre situation. You do not want to miss this one.

 

5. "A Good Day To Be A Dog"

Summary: Han HaeNa (Park GyuYoung), is cursed to become a dog every day at the stroke of midnight. Only a second kiss from the same person with whom she had her first kiss, Jin SeoWon (Cha EunWoo), can break this curse, but with SeoWon having a phobia of dogs and HaeNa needing him to kiss her as a dog, things don't really go as planned.

Reasons To Watch: This K-Drama is going to be puppy love at its finest. Fans all over the world are utterly giddy about the chemistry between Cha EunWoo and Park GyuYoung, which is already giving us butterflies.
