If you're new to WINNER's Hoony, here is some basic information about him. He was born on January 11, 1992, and has had a passion for performing since he was young.
Hoony's hometown is Busan City and it's known that he started out performing in a local dance crew. He had aspirations of joining YG Entertainment and did everything possible to realize his dream. When he moved to Seoul later, he even moved to a place within 1 minute of the YG Entertainment building.
His next move in chasing his dreams was entering the survival show "K-Pop Star" to showcase his creativity and charisma. He ended up in the top 4 thanks to his dedication and made a bold impression on Yang HyunSuk (the founder of YG Entertainment), landing him a spot as a trainee at YG Entertainment. During this time, he participated in another survival program "WIN: Who is Next?" where he was faced with creative challenges to show a different side of himself as an artist. Hoony leaped through hoop after hoop to stand as the lead rapper and main dancer of YG's model group. Through it all he knew what he wanted, he went for it without hesitation and grabbed what belonged to him. With such passion, motivation, and will, how can you not fall for our Boy Crush, Hoony?

Hoony made his debut as a member of WINNER in August 2014.
From his flash mob performance choreography for BIGBANG's G-Dragon, to his survival show stages filled with grit and competitiveness, to his stages as an official member of WINNER, Hoony has outdone himself every time he dances in the public eye. His deep love for dancing and performances showcases itself every time.
Thanks to his tall physique, Hoony's dance lines are elegant and graceful. His sense of groove and the way he controls the power in his moves speak for themself, too. Many netizens (INNER CIRCLE - WINNER's fandom - and non-fans alike) have praised him for his ability to bring out the best highlights of any choreography. As such, he even has grand experience choreographing dances like WINNER's signature song 'LOVE ME LOVE ME'.

He is also a dog dad to his beloved pet, Haute. Haute is an Italian Greyhound who is often described as quiet and charming with a lot of aegyo. Hoony decided to raise him because they are quite alike in terms of temperament. Hoony loves to shower him with affection, proving his caring nature.
This same nurturing attitude applies to his fans, too. Hoony is known as one of the K-Pop kings of fan service. Despite any hiatuses or breaks between comebacks, Hoony is known for his consistency when it comes to communicating with fans, doing live broadcasts, and more. He truly keeps on giving more and more reasons to love him.
