        After a couple of impressive years with globally acclaimed films, Choi WooShik has made his much-awaited comeback on the small screen with the healing romantic comedy "Our Beloved Summer" starring alongside previous co-star Kim DaMi. The K-Drama came to a successful end dominating worldwide Twitter trends as well, showing just how much fans loved the series. Choi WooShik's portrayal of Choi Ung made him one of the most loved male protagonists in K-Drama history.

        Choi WooShik is a brilliant actor that lives and breathes the characters of any project he's working on. His filmography boasts of diverse and acclaimed films that range from romance, comedy to straight down psychopathic thrillers.

        1. "Parasite" (2019)

        There is a high chance you've already watched this Bong JoonHo magnum opus but if you have not then now is the time. Genre-bending "Parasite" swept 4 major Academy Awards at the 2019 Oscars and is considered one of the best films of the 21st century. The film revolves around a poor Kim family who makes their way into an elite household through forgery and lies to get stable employment. The movie includes an ensemble cast of veteran actors like Song KangHo, Lee SunKyun, Park SoDam, and Choi WooShik in the lead role. 

         

        2. "Time To Hunt" (2020)

        "Time to Hunt" is a gritty thriller that would keep you on the edge of your seat. Set in a dystopian city, it focuses on four friends who plan a casino heist to escape their living hell and a chance at a better life. But things take a turn when they find themselves a target of a mysterious vicious killer. It stars Choi WooShik in the lead cast along with Lee JeHoon, Ahn JaeHong, Park JeongMin, and Park HaeSoo.

         

        3. "The Witch: Subversion Part 1" (2018)

        Before Choi WooShik and Kim DaMi became an onscreen couple they were at each other's throats (literally) in the mystery-horror "The Witch: Subversion Part 1". The story follows JaYoon, who once escaped a laboratory and developed telekinetic powers but has lost most of the memories of the time. Years later after entering a televised competition, JaYoon is pursued again by the scientists and a bloody expedition ensues. Choi WooShik as the sinister Nobleman will give you the chills.

         

        4. "Set Me Free" (2014)

        "Set Me Free" was Choi WooShik's first lead role in a film. The 2014 indie coming of age drama is an autobiographical tale directed by Kim TaeYoung. 16-year-old YoungJae has reached the age limit for his stay at Issac Home, a foster house where his father abandoned him. Unwilling to return to his father he concocts a plan to remain by lying to the owners that he wishes to become a priest. Choi WooShik's performance in the film was hailed by various critics, earning him several best actors awards including Actor of the Year at Busan International Film Festival.

         

        5. "The Policeman's Lineage" (2022)

        The crime drama is the latest film starring Choi WooShik along with Cho JinWoong as two police officers with different methods of investigation. One abides by the book and the other doesn't really care as long as he gets to the bottom of the investigation. 

         

        6. "The Package" (2018)

        The 12 episode K-Drama revolves around a group of people brought together under the Package tour led by tourist guide Yoon SoSo in France. The different people, each with their own stories, grow closer as they travel, eat and spend time together. It stars Lee YeonHee, CNBLUE's Jung YongHwa, Choi WooShik, and Yoon Park.

         

        7. "The Princess And The Matchmaker" (2018) 

        "The Princess And The Matchmaker" is a light-hearted period romantic-comedy that tells the story of a matchmaker Seo DoYoon who on royal orders is given the task of finding a match for princess SongHwa. The princess however isn't keen on marrying based on this method and escapes to find true love. The film stars Shim EunKyung, Lee SeungGi, Yeon WooJin, CNBLUE's Kang MinHyuk, and Choi WooShik in the lead roles. 

         

        8. "Train To Busan" (2016)

        The Gong Yoo starrer mega-hit "Train to Busan", now known as one of the finest zombie movies to come out in recent decades, takes a look at a group of passengers who struggle to make it out alive as their train becomes a zombie hotspot amidst a nationwide outbreak. Choi WooShik plays Min YoungGuk, a high-school baseball player who finds himself in the Busan bound KTX as it becomes zombie-infested.
