        Yoon JiSung gained fame when he appeared on Mnet's "Produce 101' Season 2, eventually making it to the final 11 which became the internationally successful group Wanna One. His success on the survival show as well as activities with Wanna One have made his career as an idol both exciting and reputable.

        Yoon JiSung's career as a solo artist is blossoming as he has appeared in various musicals and even debuted in his first K-drama, SBS's "Let Me Be Your Knight." He has also released several EPs including "Aside," "Dear Diary," "Temperature of Love," and "Miro" – all of which reached high in the charts. He held his first solo concert this past May and is now about to embark on his first tour in Canada this fall! Yoon JiSung has been very busy, showing BABAL's that he can do it all.

        Kpopmap was able to chat with Yoon JiSung as he prepares for variety show appearances as well as his upcoming tour. He definitely showed a lot of love for his loyal fans, BABAL, and his excitement with getting to visit Canada.

        Hi Yoon JiSung, thank you for taking the time to sit down with Kpopmap! We have been looking forward to having this opportunity to get to know you more.

        To start the interview off, I’m sure your fans are wondering how Bero is doing. He seems like such a well-mannered dog, especially in your vlogs! What is your favorite thing to do with him?

        I love doing everything with Bero. I like going on vacation with him, eating at popular restaurants, and going for walks with him – there is so much more in the world that I want to show him!

         

        Your fans know that you have a lot of experience doing musicals, but you have also recently acted in the K-Drama “Let Me Be Your Knight.” Which do you prefer or like more?

        Dramas and musicals both have their perks. In a drama, you know the feelings of the actors through different scenes not only through my acting, but also through the acting of other actors in different scenes. In musicals it is a different kind of fun because all the actors on stage have to show their emotions. I want to show BABAL various sides of me!

        Do you hope to act in some more dramas or maybe even try movies?

        I like watching dramas, movies, plays, musicals, different genres – I enjoy watching them all! If the opportunity comes up, I want to try doing everything.

         

        You have released a few EPs now, all of which had such different sounds and evoked such different emotions. Which song would you say still continues to touch you the most and why?

        I really love all of my songs. Fans have told me that they really like and were touched by the song 'Fairy Tale,' which is a song I specifically wrote for BABAL. If BABAL like a song, I like it too!

        Your MV for ‘BLOOM’ was so aesthetically pleasing and beautiful with all the flowers. Do you gravitate towards flowers normally? What flower would you say is your favorite?

        I have always liked flowers and always make sure to put flowers in a vase when I receive them. I like a lot of flowers, but my favorite is probably the Matricaria. It signifies having the strength to not give into hardships.

         

        We know that you are going to be on a Canada tour this upcoming fall with group JUST B. Are you looking forward to touring together?

        JUST B’s stage presence and performance is so cool that I’m very much looking forward to seeing them perform!

         

        Have you ever been to Canada before? What are you looking forward to doing most?

        After being discharged from the military, as a result of the pandemic, I have not been able to travel. Canada will be my first concert after being out of the military. I’m really looking forward to going and trying out some delicious foods. I am also looking forward to making some happy memories with my fans!

        Are there any other countries in the world that you would like to visit or do a concert in?

        Wherever BABAL are in the world, I will go. Korean BABAL’s, international BABAL’s – I want to see them all!

         

        You and Wanna One were able to reunite again for MAMA. Did you miss performing as a group with the others? What do you miss most about it?

        It was exciting getting to perform on stage again with Wanna One after a long time. When practicing, there are times when it gets difficult, but when practicing with the Wanna One members, it is not tiring, but fun instead.
