        So in appreciation of Y's mesmerizing vocals, we are listing 7 performances, covers as well as originals, when Y swayed us with his voice.

         

        1. 'We all lie' - HaJin (Cover) 

        Covering the hauntingly good OST from "SKY Castle", 'We All Lie' by HaJin, Y showcased his emotive as well as vocal prowess on the segment woolim THE LIVE 3. From the on-point enunciations to the sweet falsetto, Y gave a stunning and heartfelt performance. 

         

        2. 'I Believe'- TVXQ (Cover)

        Y was on the March 17, 2019, episode of "King of Masked Singer". Under the alias Walnut Confection, Y gave some amazing performances, first with a duet with 'Small Rice Cake', then as he did not proceed to the next round, a solo. As he took off his mask, he sang TVXQ's 'I Believe' showing his beautiful and unique vocal colour.

         

        3. 'In My Blood' - Shawn Mendes (Cover)

        Covering the emotional 'In My Blood' by Shawn Mendes, Y made fans swoon to his vocals. The song has some very poignant lyrics that talk about one's vulnerabilities and Y enhances these feelings with his beautiful voice. He belts out high notes and pours out raw emotions that tugs at your heartstrings just right.

         

        4. 'Fantasia' - Golden Child's Y (Solo)

        'Fantasia' is Y's solo song and gives instant joy to Goldenness. The song has two video clips one from a concert and the other is in a more intimate setting. Every time you listen to the song it gives a different vibe but one thing that remains constant is Y's love and comfort. This song also makes Goldenness want more and more of Y's comforting and uplifting solo tracks.

         

        5. 'That's Okay' - EXO's D.O (Cover)

        Singing a duet with fellow member JooChan, Y proved not only his solo technique but also his beautiful harmonies as well. The two covered EXO's D.O's 'That's Okay'. They share a close bond as well so the song gave a more pleasant and soothing feeling as well.

         

        6. 'If Only You Are Fine' - INFINITE's Nam WooHyun (Cover)

        One of the most beautiful things about Y is his ability to bring forth the emotions and narrative of the songs. Covering the heartbreaking ballad 'If Only You Are Fine' by singer-songwriter INFINITE's Nam WooHyun, Y stirred  various emotions of the pain and acceptance that follows a parting. 

         

        7. 'Because of Different Times'- Standing Egg (Cover)

        Y toned it down at woolim THE LIVE 3 where he covered the soft and relaxing ballad 'Because of Different Times' by acoustic indie band Standing Egg. The song created a calming effect on the listeners and a vibe that was relaxing because of Y's beautiful vocals. Goldenness find solace because of Y's soft and emotive vocals and has made this cover one of their favorites.
