LUCY Official
Ever since their formation through JTBC's "SuperBand", LUCY have been creeping into the hearts of fans everywhere. They are one of the handful of bands that stand out from the constant wave of idol groups that populate the Korean music scene. They stand alongside bands like FTISLAND, CNBLUE, DAY6, and more, using their mastery of their respective instruments to create incredible music that the public will love.
They remain true to their band spirit, becoming a source of happiness and joy for their fandom, WalWal. All members are incredibly gifted at what they do and LUCY would not be complete without either of the four. But one member has shown insane professionalism, even in the face of adversity. That is none other than LUCY's Shin YeChan, the violinist of the group. He has encountered many moments of technical difficulties which he must tend to in the middle of a performance.
Here's a few times YeChan has impressed with his ability to persevere under pressure.
1. "Monthly Awesome Season 1"
LUCY were once invited to be performers for "Monthly Awesome Season 1" in January 2022. Even as a violinist, Shin YeChan goes all out and becomes totally immersed in the performance. Through his fiery passion, the hairs of his bowstring start to come off, little by little, until they are hanging on for dear life. Despite the mishap, YeChan continues to play, finishing the performance as charismatic as ever.
2. Chungkang University Performance
With the nature of LUCY's upbeat discography, they make a perfect addition to any college festival. They exude an air of youth that can be felt by the entire student body and beyond. In the middle of performing 'You're right', Shin YeChan notices something is amiss with his violin. He quickly goes to replace one of his strings in haste and immediately gets back to tearing up the stage. While many would fold underneath the pressure, YeChan continues forward and gives another performance for the history books.
3. "Fever & Us" Concert
While performances on music programs are a sight to behold, LUCY go the extra mile for concerts. They bring out the hype and so much more, causing the venue to erupt in excited cheers from beginning to end. At their "Fever & Us" concert, we see another case of one of YeChan's violin strings breaking. But with a pack of fresh strings at hand, he goes right to replacing them — and he comes back right in time for his violin solo. He totally crushes the stage, fueled by the thunderous cheers of their dedicated fans.
Shin YeChan never fails to disappoint in terms of passion and professionalism. Despite dealing with broken bows and violin strings, he finishes every performance strong.
