All throughout, he has this soft and tender look on his face that is almost in clear contrast to the powerful notes he belts. It is intriguing and even though you understand the message of the song, you just want to know more, the stories that lays in his beautiful mind.

         

        2. SHINee's JongHyun - 'End of a day'

        Music that feeds the soul! Hong JooChan's vocals in this performance is like a warm blanket to shield you from the cold, a hand outstretched to lift you from the ground, and a hug that reassures you and commends you. He sings with so much power and emotions, it is not hard to see and feel the message he tries to convey with this cover performance. Strong, determined, raw, and yet so graceful and beautiful, his vocal technique is in full display here as he uses his tone in a way that makes every note and line he sings hits the right emotions of his listener. And at 4:10, during the piano solo, his expressions show you how immersed he is in this performance. A beautiful masterpiece that both SHAWOL and Goldenness will appreciate.

         

        3. IU - Through The Night'

        Chills! And then a standing ovation. Hong JooChan is truly a rare gem. His voice is so soothing but still has a very youthful and bright feel to it. There is a level of sincerity and innocence in his voice that is quite similar to that of a young child. It is angelic and pure. It is transcending. Elevating your mind to a state of bliss and surreal serenity. For however duration he sings, nothing else matters. You're just here, in this precious moment with him.
