PURPLE KISS is a 6-member girl group, under RBW Entertainment, famous for their out-of-this-world vocal skills and musicality. Consisting of members Na GoEun, Dosie, Ireh, Yuki, ChaeIn, and Swan, the group has been making bold moves.
From their debut with the mini album "Into Violet" and title track 'Ponzona' in 2021 to their recent comeback with the single album "FESTA" and its title track '7HEAVEN', the group has been creating a golden discography for the past couple of years. As a result, PLORY (their fandom name) is a truly musically blessed fanbase.
In the spirit of sharing their beautiful discography with fans, PURPLE KISS recently embarked on their "2023 The FESTA Tour in USA". Kpopmap had the honor of interviewing PURPLE KISS about their ongoing world tour. They shared all about their pre-performance routines on tour, their favorite songs to perform, the countries they want to tour next, and more!
PURPLE KISS, welcome to Kpopmap, and congratulations on your “2023 The FESTA Tour in USA”! This will be your first timing touring the USA! You must be filled with a lot of anticipation ahead of meeting more of your international fans. How did you feel when you first found out that you’d be performing for your American fans soon?
I'm really excited to finally meet U.S. PLORY. We've always communicated through video calls, and our live-streamed performances, and I'm thrilled that we can finally perform live and meet in person.

I've been telling the company that we would love to meet our international PLORY fans, watching their reaction videos, and reading their letters and comments since our debut. I'm really happy that this opportunity has finally come true!

Your tour name, ‘FESTA’, refers to a festival that your fans, PLORY, can enjoy. Can you please share with our readers what festival-like elements they can expect to see if they attend one of your concerts?

We’re sure that you’ve put tons of effort into practicing for your tour. Can you walk us through a day in the life of PURPLE KISS in preparation of the “2023 The Festa Tour in USA”?
Practice, practice, practice, just bunch of continuous practice.

PURPLE KISS is well-known for your discography filled with top-tier music from title tracks to B-sides. Can you please name one title track and one B-side that you enjoy performing the most in front of a live audience?
The most enjoyable title track to perform for me is "Zombie," and for the B-side track, it's "날 좀 봐 (Oh My Gosh)!"

Do any of the members have unique habits or routines that they have to do before going on stage? Please share one of your pre-stage rituals with fans.
I have a habit of cracking my shoulder bones just before going on stage. It helps me to relax a bit.

We shout 'PURKI-Woo! PURKI-Woo!' to boost our energy before going on stage all together!!

We’re sure you’ve had some unforgettable moments on stage in front of your fans. Are there any special moments during your concerts that you can’t wait to share with American PLORY?
The most special moments would be when we’re having a fun and energetic time with our PLORY. I hope to fill our days with more excitement than anyone else!

This year you’ve performed in countries such as Japan and will now be performing in the USA. Are there any other continents or countries that you want to perform in next?
I would like to go on a European tour next time! If possible, I would love to meet PLORY from all over the world.

TMI Question: Touring so many cities requires a lot of energy. Can each member please share one way that they will be taking care of themselves physically and mentally during the tour?
Talking to my family, reading letters from fans, and applying some aroma oil on my neck while listening to my favorite songs with my eyes closed are some of my healing methods!
Dosie
I'm considering how to distribute my energy imagining the flow of our songs, and since my legs tend to get stiff, I plan to give myself a massage every night.

TMI Question: You will be visiting 17 cities on your tour. Is there a tourist attraction that you are looking forward to seeing or a local food you’re excited to eat in either city?
Since U.S. is known for the distinct characteristics of each region, I’m looking forward to all of them!

Lastly, can you say a word to global fans who are excited to see you perform on stage? Do you have a special message for your loving fans around the world?
I want to perform on stage with all the PLORY from around the world for a long, long time. I’m really thankful and I love you for always supporting us even from far away!
