        The Build Up

        ENA

Leading up to this week's Romantic Pick, Yeon BoRa and Lee SooHyuk are slowly warming up to each other as more than publisher and author. While admittedly, they did not start off on the same page and actually loathed each other's company, they found in one another a kindred spirit, going through a similar situation.

Their significant other suddenly becomes their ex and we see both of our main characters spiral into a world of pain, heartache, and sadness. They become physically and emotionally distraught, falling victim to their most intrusive of thoughts.

Coincidentally, when BoRa and SooHyuk are at their absolute lowest and most embarrassing, they are right by each other's side. This coincidence or destiny, sets up the drama in such a way that it seems almost inevitable for our two main leads to share feelings of romance and love.

        The Romance

Now, Yeon BoRa and Lee SooHyuk are dealing with their break up in their own ways. BoRa decides that in order to get over her ex, Noh JuHwan (2PM's ChanSung), she must break up on her own terms. In the drama we're introduced to the idea that a couple's last moments before parting stay with them forever. So instead of a break up filled with a river of tears and uncontrollable grief, she decides it would be better to rewrite their ending.

She did just that, going through an entire process to get to that point. Their break up is cathartic, as we witness BoRa come face to face with the person that has caused her such tremendous emotional and mental pain. And while things happened just the way that she planned, there was still this underlying feeling of sadness for the end of a relationship. Seeing this, Lee SooHyuk, who was accompanying BoRa throughout the whole event, whisks her away to a coin karaoke where she can sing belt out her worries.

Although unexpected and spontaneous, we witness the two become swept away by the music and receive much needed healing. They jump up in excitement and create an unforgettable atmosphere, invoking feelings of indescribable joy. By the time their coin karaoke session comes to a close, BoRa and SooHyuk are understandably tired from shaking away all the pent up negativity. Through this whole experience, they become closer and more intimate, allowing their walls to crumble right in front of each other.

An air of awkward tension builds up around them and before they're able to leave, BoRa and SooHyuk share a passionate kiss. This scene woke up every romantic cell that lay dormant in our bodies, acting as a serotonin boost for weeks to come.

        The Happily Ever After

Although there are some scenes that are highly exaggerated, "True To Love" is a drama that blurs the line between reality and fiction. It presents a break up and romance so deeply tied to real life. And just like reality, Yeon BoRa and Lee SooHyuk's happily ever after is not without any hiccups. But the aftermath of the kiss and the feelings that have stemmed from it should be a sign of good things to come.

Now that the main leads are aware of the implications of their kiss and have started to explore their own feelings about it, an official relationship shouldn't be too far off. For now, we're content with the many scenes of flirting that "True To Love" has to offer.
